REVIEWS: DC Comics 52 Pick-Up – Week Three
September 24, 2011 11:51 pm I loved Batman, Wonder Woman, Nightwing, Supergirl, and DC Presents Deadman. Catwoman just made me miss the days of Brubaker and Cooke who actually made the character cool just like Blue Beetle made me miss the days of Giffen, Rogers, and Hamner. I hated Red Hood and the Outlaws, why did they feel the need to take a beloved character like Starfire and just make her a super powered blow up doll, that pisses me off, and it made me love Wonder Woman more because it was about a female character who was actually strong and awesome and not just there for exploitative reasons.

WONDER WOMAN #1
September 19, 2011 6:16 pm Yet another attempt to make Wonder Woman sell this is getting kind of old (though I did likeRucka's run and Simone's run) after Rucka, JMS, Heinberg, Simone, and Picoult, I think they finally did it right by picking a writer nobody would suspect writing Wonder Woman, I'm willing to give this a shot plus Chiang's artwork is amazing.

REVIEWS: DC Comics 52 Pick-Up – Week Two
September 16, 2011 11:40 pm I had a few surprises this week, Superboy was much better than I expected. I also really enjoyed the hell out of Mister Terrific and I can't wait to see what happens next. Though shockingly I was not as into Frankenstein as I thought I would be (I loved Frankenstein and the Creature Commandos from Flashpoint) but I'll still give it another shot.

My Digital Comics Dilemma
September 13, 2011 7:07 pm It's not just the fact that one of my closest friends owns my local comic shop; but I've tried digital comics and it just didn't click with me I like actually holding the book in my hands. Plus I love the social atmosphere of the comic book store I remember that the day Justice League came out I ran into so many friends an acquaintances whom I knew for years of shopping there (one of them I even discovered a while back was actually a distant relative) and we all had a shared enthusiasm over what was happening, you don't get that from digital.
