To me, comic book deaths from big DC or Marvel books don't matter. It all seems to be a gimmick sooner or later. How many times have you seen plots and deaths get retconned or just ignored?
I bought into the whole Batman death thing. I even got a few of the issues where characters were mourning him, but it all feels pointless now that he's back.
I dunno, I'd be much more interested if some main character in Invincible or The Walking Dead died, mostly because I know that they aren't going to come back in a few months.
I'm all in with this one.
Okay, I'm gonna be that guy. I would hate to see Sandman on any sort of screen. I think that the story was far too bizarre and intricate to translate well enough for viewers who aren't into that sort of thing. I guess I have a little bit of hipster syndrome ("Aww man I love this comic and although I try to get all my friends to read it, most don't and I still wanna keep it hidden from the public").
Then again, maybe the show will be good :O
Stupid, stupid scholar. She must have thought she'd just write this shit to try and get some grant funding.
It's always the people who don't know jack shit about comics or video games or -any- geek entertainment that talk the loudest, huh?
BQ: Sorry to sound like a fanboy, but my answer is Neil Gaiman to all three.
