March 4, 2013 1:58 pm Man i forgot about DC Focus.Interesting stories but they couldn't find a place for them.Too "normal" for Vertigo and too dark for DC.And i was never a fan of Superman Birthright.

February 25, 2013 1:48 pm Been saying Harper Row will become Batgirl since she first appeared.Don't know how but it seems like it could be part of Snyder's long con.
February 19, 2013 2:14 pm Not surprised about Hawkman or Deathstroke. That's what happens when you let Liefeld take over three books and run them into the ground for months. Didn't Team 7 come out like 6 months ago? Damn i really liked that book.At least the concept. It was supposed to tell the "secret history of the new 52" and bring in a whole bunch of ex-Wildstorm characters like John Lynch and tell us all about what was happening during the 5 years we skipped over.BUT we didn't get that.I was actually letting those later issues pile up at the store because i knew that i wasn't missing any BIG plot twists or revelations. The writing was meh and seemed to only serve as a supporting book to Deathstroke and Suicide Squad. I think someone above mentioned it but the problem is that DC is canceling books that sell badly and replacing them with books that have bad press going in.Take Constantine. They cancel Hellblazer, a book with a lot of dedicated fans, and replace it with a New 52 spun Constantine book.I never read Hellblazer and thus have no definite opinion on it but i appreciate something that ran for 300 issues. They made room for Katana,Vibe, JLA and Constantine because Geoff Johns is hoping to pull an Aquaman on Vibe and make him "awesome". Here's my Wish List: -Cyborg -Black Canary -Robin -Superman/Batman

February 9, 2013 10:25 am I like Teen Titans and i'm a little happy that Brett Booth is off.Kinda tired of everyone looking like manga barbie dolls.
February 4, 2013 3:20 pm I started reading comics monthly with the New 52.I've gone back and read the old universe and i like both.Although i have nothing against the New 52 i don't think the old universe was that hard to understand.I think that if you want to know something about the universe, you'd do the research. But DC underestimates their fans. They expect fans of Young Justice (R.I.P) or the Nolan Batman films to go to the comic shop.Maybe some do but the majority would rather flock to Barnes and Noble to buy the few trades they find then go to a comic store. So i guess i'm agreeing with your statement that DC isn't pandering to long time readers. Maybe i'm just an "X" reader but i liked the first story arc of Justice League. It was popcorn fluff, not bad but not good.I think Justice League has a chance to be a very special book instead of just another New 52 book, if the characters could just stop fighting each other and fight Lex Luthor or an alien invasion maybe then people would give it a chance.
February 4, 2013 2:56 pm Ah Coup D'Etat........
February 4, 2013 2:55 pm At first i though this was another article denouncing the new 52/Dan Didio or talking about how great things were "back then". But i do admit that you made a lot of great points. With Twitter and comic writers being so connected to their fans, it seems like all the dirty laundry goes straight from the boardroom to the fan.We all saw what happened between Liefeld and Snyder and whatever side you find yourself on you have to admit that it looked bad.I'm no Liefeld fan but to see a huge argument between two comic book professionals on a weekend, it just doesn't look good. Good article
