Damian’s confrontation with Talia was a little meh, but I like where this is going.
Read full review and commentsWow … I don’t usually get weepy at the end of a comic book … but DAMN!

UPDATED: Dark Horse Comics Goes Day and Date Digital; Prices Cheaper Than Print? (No.)
December 5, 2011 10:40 pm @Wally: I think you've hit the nail on the head. We're talking about two discrete and unique audiences and markets ... with some overlap, of course. This DC model of going day/date digital with the same pricing scheme as hard copies, followed monthly by incremental decreases in the price of the digital edition, may be a good option for digital customers. The only catch I understand is that many LCSs earn decent revenue on back issue sales (which many mark up in order to compensate for the cost of carrying the inventory). Theoretically, the rise of the digital market shouldn't have much of an impact on current or back issue sales of retailers. The real problem with the industry is the failure to bring new readers into the existing market of retail LCSs. Customer-friendly LCSs that maintain relevant inventory and open online storefronts ought to be successful in the long run, regardless the emergence of the digital market.

December 5, 2011 6:24 pm @markish: That's why I'm wondering if the Jamie we have been thinking was Jamie Prime really wasn't and the one the story jumped to was ... but then ... in the thread PD references in the solicit above both Layla and Jamie end up ... well ... I don't want to spoil anything for anyone ...
Actually, can't spoil anything because it's all misdirection with PD.
I agree with you. It won't make sense until it makes sense. ;)

December 5, 2011 2:40 pm I was wondering when PD would come back to this thread (oops ... in issue #229) ...
So was the Jamie who has been leading the team for who knows how many months actually a dupe? I still don't get the twist at the end of #227 ...
Loving this cover too, BTW ...

REVIEW: Uncanny X-Men #1 – SPOILER FREE
December 5, 2011 11:30 am I must be missing something ... the art was good, but the story was a major fail.
Shades of Astonishing vis a vis Whedon ... "We're the world's greatest ... WOOT!" Please ...
And when did Celestials become pregnable? According to Marvel, "No Earth being has ever seen what they look like beneath their armor or knows their origin." (http://marvel.com/universe/Celestials)
But all of a sudden Mr. Sinister possesses some inexplicable power that allows him to hijack this unassailable being's head? C'mon.

November 28, 2011 10:34 pm Sorry ... didn't mean to be preachy ... :)
p.s. I'm also starting to wonder if/when Hickman is going to tie the Fantastic Four/FF narratives in with S.H.I.E.L.D. Nathaniel Richards has played a role in that story as well ...
