Name: Dylan Cassard

Bio: I've been reading comics since I can remember. I started with X-Men #1 (Colossus/Psylocke/Rogue/Gambit cover), then after purchasing a Spanish version of X-Men #22 while on vacation, my parents thought "heck, lets get this kid a subscription!" And I haven't stopped reading comics since. Card carrying member of: "The Wolverine & Jean Forever Society" "Society For a Mustache on the Super Soldier" "Grant Morrison Should Write Captain Britain Club" "We Want More Husk Initiative" "Rachel Summers Is Our Phoenix Coalition"

June 10, 2011 4:16 pm Wow! Rags Morales! He has the chops for facial expressions, but I think he might be a bit too realistic for Superman. Meh, could still be amazing. I'm definitely buying it digitally when it's over.
June 10, 2011 4:11 pm I love Quentin Quire, he's the ultimate hipster. That guy isn't Quentin. Unless they suddenly started wearing trenchcoats and baggy jeans.
UNLESS Quentin has re-substantiated in the body of someone on Utopia and is wearing an Omega Gang shirt and styled himself a new purple 'hawk.
June 10, 2011 11:59 am I always loved that design when I was a kid and I'm very happy it's been resurrected.
June 9, 2011 12:57 pm @ResurrectionFlan  Bravo and well played. Still gives me an excuse to jump ship unless they have something incredible in the pipeline. Like a new Wolverine costume.
June 9, 2011 11:58 am @manwithoutbeer  Sign me up for Warren Ellis' Adam Strange!
June 9, 2011 11:12 am Look at the Kirby chops on Giffen and Koblish!
June 9, 2011 11:05 am @nick7913  Wow. I hadn't looked at it that way. The book has had many incarnations without Cyclops or Xavier as leader.

My personal thought is we are going to see two new titles: Wolverine & The X-Men and Cyclops & The X-Men. They will probably look and feel a heck of a lot like the blue-team/gold-team of the 90s and probably be written by Gillen for Cyclops and Rick Remender for Wolverine.

If this were really "THE END" then we would see a line-wide cancellation initiative.

The mutants haven't been "The X-Men" in forever. For me, the name's on the cover for branding purposes. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the fact that it's about the community of mutants and not an elite strike force of brainwashed youngsters. This seems like a "back to basics" way of dividing a cast that's already spread out over Uncanny, Uncanny, Adjectiveless & Legacy.

We shall see.
June 8, 2011 9:09 pm I owned that issue, but I can't for the life of me remember the rest of the "article." I just remember that look on the Joker's face. HA!
June 8, 2011 1:11 pm @KenOchalek  Nice imagery in your post. I'm hopin' so. As I said, I do like Ben McKenzie and wish he had more work.
June 8, 2011 1:09 pm Oh, and on a director's note: Heck yes! He's fantastic! I loved 30 Days of Night. The guy knows how to set a mood and a tone.

Also: what about Frank Miller/JR JR's Man Without Fear? That was intended as a script for the first Daredevil movie anyway.
