February 3, 2014 5:13 pm Akira and Nausicaa are definitely manga classics. Add Lone Wolf and Cub, Monster and Death Note to that list and you can make a series of manga Booksplodes! Mainstream/'superhero' manga like Naruto, Dragonball, One Piece and Bleach also deserve attention.
February 2, 2014 4:39 pm Thats sounds (or as I should say 'reads') GOOD!
February 2, 2014 3:18 pm Cool booksplode! I just started reading Akira again. I just started volume 3. Thank you Paul Montgomery for talking about manga! I love iFanboy to death, I really do; you guys are just the best in your business but I would love to hear more about manga! Can we expect more things about great manga, and maybe even European comics? Peace and Love from Holland!
September 2, 2013 12:33 pm Damn...First Ron leaves and now the end of iFanboy as we know it. Everything comes and goes, that's just the way it is. But let celebrate iFanboy! At least the Pick of the Week podcasts are staying, I'm really happy with that. I wasn't an active member but for the last 4 years I visited the site on a daily basis. Im from Europe so I read a lot of European comics. It wasn't until the summer of 2009, when I visited NYC, and got hooked on American comics at Midtown Comics in Manhattan. From that moment on I became addicted and really, It's you guys who showed me the way in the land of comics. I dont wanna sound like a freak but even though we dont know each other, It's like you (and the iFanboy community) are my friends. I dont have that many people to talk about comics to and this website always welcomed me gracefully. I was gutted when you stopped making the weekly iFanboy video podcasts and it got worse when Ron left (nothing wrong with Paul but Ron I was familiar with Ron and his taste of comics). Everything that's good comes to an end. I really hope that you guys stay healthy, happy and succesfull. You mean a lot to a special kind of people, the comic book readers. Stay strong and enjoy all the great comics that come out this day and age. It's really a good time for comics, quality-wise at least. Josh, I expect to see your name on great comics soon! I salute you all!
October 2, 2012 1:19 pm I totally agree. If it wasn't for USM maybe I wouldn't be a comic book reader today. I never gave attention to American Comics. All I ever read were European comics (Im from Amsterdam) and manga. But in 2009 someone told me to read USM. I loved every freaking panel! I really miss those days. Since Miles Morales took over the spider costume, I don't know, it became different for me. It never was only about spider-man. The real heart of the story is Peter Parker, it's all about Peter becoming a man and finding his place in the world. I miss Peter Parker!
March 16, 2012 4:47 pm Marvel shouldn't cancel ''The Spectacular Spider-Man''. That was one freaking good Spidey cartoon!
January 10, 2011 2:51 pm Congratulations and thank you!

Ifanboy.com is a daily routine for me, I can't imagine reading comics without ifanboy. I think that says enough abouy the good work you all are doing!

It's really inspirational to see a bunch of guys going for something and making it. It shows that with passion, hard work and true friends you can do what you wanna do. Too bad I can't be at the party as I live in Amsterdam...
January 1, 2011 10:04 am Because of you guys I went and bought The Hunter and it blew me away, that also goes for The Outfit. So now i'm gonna try Afrodisiac, it should be a great and fun book to read from what you say, can't wait!
January 1, 2011 9:59 am Happy new year Josh, Ron, Conor and all the ifanboy members! Lets get ready for another great comic book year!
September 14, 2010 2:12 pm Lone Wolf & Cub is I think the best manga ever in my opinion. It's realistic and you learn much about Japanese history and culture. The drawings are awesome! I would add 20th century boys and Monster, both written and drawn by Naoki Urasawa. When I think about it, it's strange that I still haven't read Pluto as it's made by my favourite manga artist and mixed with Tezuka. Tezuka is a legend!
