This book was so good that I am resentful that I choose to read it first. I had read Nova…

October 12, 2011 1:42 pm I was just in NYC and wish I had seen this! I actually went to Spotted Pig and had the burger - based on comment by Connor on a recent pod cast. I thought it was a bit one note; too heavy on the blue cheese which over powered any other flavors. I tried the meat by itself, and it was pretty bland. The burger itself was cooked well, but the execution was off. I would highly recommend two places: S'Mac (345 East 12th Street) Hill Country BBQ Market (30 West 26th St). The former has some of the best mac and cheese my wife and I have ever tasted and the brisket at Hill Country was the best I've had outside of Texas!

I'm excited, but I feel the price tag is too much. $75 for 16 comics? Some of them are specials, annuals, etc, so maybe the content is closer to 20 comics...but still, I'd be happier with the price point of the Starman Omnibuses.

@conor: DC doesn't paperback their omnibuses, not that I can recall, but Marvel does for some, like the Bendis Dardevils. DC could follow suit.

September 8, 2010 12:37 pm Chirs Ware was just featured on a segment of This American Life. Actually, the whole episode (#178) was about superpowers. I would give it a listen: http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/episode/178/superpowers . They also talk about a real life Wonder Woman/Batman.
August 9, 2010 4:02 pm Waid's run on the Flash was good, and that was long before Johns was on the book.
July 16, 2010 12:23 pm @AlanRob: if you live in Austin, you have got to go to Driftwood and eat at the Salk Lick. The place has the best brisket I have ever had. Ever.
June 5, 2010 10:47 pm Quicksilver was in the captain America game too.
