September 13, 2012 7:41 pm Agreed, boring issue. In fact, suddenly I've gone from this being one of my favorite comics to thinking about dropping it.
September 13, 2012 7:40 pm Based on what I've heard, previous Conan comics were much further from Howard's Conan than this is. Aside from the unfortunate art in the new issue, this Conan seems pretty close to Howard's character to me.
September 13, 2012 7:38 pm I agree, his landscapes are decent (though they all look the same after a while) but the faces he draws are completely expressionless, and his Conan looks like a bug-eyed alien.
August 31, 2012 9:24 pm DC and Marvel get away with charging $3.99 for a lot of their books and meanwhile they have advertisements on every other page, and the paper is thin and flimsy. How can anyone complain about a comic book with no ads, and printed on far higher quality paper, costing $3.99? By the way, anyone else notice like five typos in this issue. Kinda sad. Also as much as I like the art and the weird world of this book, I'm starting to get impatient and wonder if it's ever going to go anywhere story-wise.
August 21, 2012 8:15 pm Not to mention Prophet and Manhattan Projects.
August 10, 2012 2:59 am This is the first Conan comic I've ever read, but the character doesn't seem that far off from Robert E. Howard's Conan. Have you even read Howard? He was a pretty gloomy dude, and Conan was a "brooding" character. As far as the narrator (not monologue, as the guy above pointed out) to me it seems like Wood is going out of his way to write in the style of old school sword and sorcery. So maybe this comic is different from other Conan comics, I wouldn't know, but if it is, then it's the other comics that must not have been very true to the original character.
June 11, 2012 9:51 pm Can someone link to an "official" source saying this is a mini? I haven't seen anything saying that's the case.
April 11, 2012 8:44 pm Sad to see people rating this a little lower than usual. I really enjoyed the issue. This book's biggest strength is its characters, and this is the most character-driven issue so far. It's nice to have one non-action issue fleshing out the characters even more before the new arc starts.
April 9, 2012 10:05 pm I guess I should stop using TFAW.com as my reference for shipping dates. (They still have it listed as coming out April 11.)
April 9, 2012 8:36 pm Anyone know why Manhattan Projects #2 isn't on the shipping list? I thought it was coming out this week.
