June 14, 2012 12:57 am Thank you and the entire team for a phenomenal run that has culminated in such a fantastic issue. Also it's been a while since we have had a great Joker story (just trying to plant a seed for the future). Keep up the great work!
May 23, 2012 9:06 pm I thought this book had gotten canceled forever ago. My pick was Batman Incorporated #1. This was great and the fact that it came out during the Night of the Owls crossover which has been somewhat of a letdown makes it even better. As much as I love Snyder on Batman, Grant Morrison showed why he is still the best.
May 8, 2012 6:21 pm The Pro is one of my favorite books. Glad to see it back in print.
April 23, 2012 10:01 pm This is a light week. Only 3 books. I'm looking forward to seeing this JL Dark/ I Vampire crossover turns out. Bonus question: "The Death of Bunny Monroe" by Nick Cave. I somehow missed this when it first came out and being a huge Nick Cave fan I had to pick it up immediately.
April 18, 2012 10:58 pm I was going to wait and read this in trade, but I may have to go back and pick the first two issues up. My pick was The Shadow #1. Garth Ennis wrote a great first issue.
April 16, 2012 7:38 pm I'm really looking forward to The Shadow #1. Garth Ennis writing a pulp comic set in the 30's. Sold. I hope this book gets picked for the light week column so more people check it out. Bonus question: In honor of The Sentry I'll go with "Fallen Sons."
April 16, 2012 7:21 pm Really excited for this book. I'll buy any Garth Ennis first issue to give it a try. With The Boys ending soon it's nice to have another ongoing to jump on.
April 5, 2012 12:09 am It seems like the review had a lot of "Like Civil War..." in it. I bought this book against my better judgement and thought Marvel was trying to rehash Civil War as well. I, however, don't see this as a good thing. I'm not buying issue two because of that. My Pick of The Week was The Boys #65, which had a great twist to it. The Boys exists because of books like AvX and for that I am grateful. Thank you Garth Ennis for a great run.
April 4, 2012 9:08 pm I wasn't going to get this, but my curiosity got the better of me. Now I can happily forget this book because it's the same tired Marvel crap that made me drop every one of their titles. And there's 11 more issues to go! Have fun with it. My POTW was The Boys #65 which was great and actually had surprises.
March 27, 2012 11:14 pm I have to say i've also cut down on my books in a big way. I usually only get about 5 books a week now and I am much quicker to drop titles. As my interest in the medium has waned greatly I've had to search out the books that still get me excited about comics. It was a hard habit to break in not buying a bunch of books every week but I'm glad I did.
