So, I’ve been staying with Superman throughout the “Grounded” storyline only to see this train wreck through. When I picked…

January 10, 2013 2:00 pm They say you never forget your first. I don't think they were referring to Batman artists, but the words still ring true. Norm Breyfogle is my first. Not only was the first Batman artist I vividly remember, he's also the first one to draw MY Robin (Tim Drake). His runs on both Detective and Batman are still some incredible examples of how to layout action sequences. His sleek version of The Dark Knight and super creepy Joker are still some of my all time favorite representations of the characters. To my delight, he's bask as the artist on Batman Beyond Unlimited and it looks like he hasn't missed a beat.
November 9, 2012 4:38 pm Hey look! I'm on the front page!!
April 12, 2012 1:40 pm Thank you guys. I don't hear that very often. Means a lot.
April 12, 2012 1:38 pm Roi, I don't agree. I think Clark the most human part of the character. He's just a guy who grew up on a farm and lived a very simple life. Right & wrong are very clear to him. Maybe it's because I'm from Missouri but I get that part of him.
April 10, 2012 4:12 pm I appreciate that Casey, but I'm just a guy. Nothing more.
April 10, 2012 3:18 pm Mike, this is a great article. I am & forever will be a Superman fan. I also remember tucking a red towel (to my grandmother's chagrin) into the collar of my shirt and diving off the backs and arms of couches like I was George Reeves. I also grew up with the Man of Steel and I began to adopt what he stood for. Not just the whole Truth, Justice, and the American Way thing, but standing up for those that can't stand up for themselves. Unknowing to me, I have now become someone who does just that. Eight years ago, I became a Deputy Sheriff. I wouldn't have gone down this path if not for The Big Blue Boy Scout. To this day, I carry his iconic symbol on my body at all times. Some people carry a rabbit's foot or a animal totem of some kind, but I have the "S" shield. It reminds me that someone needs to stand up and protect the folks that need help.
March 5, 2012 10:41 am I was wondering how he was going to look. I like the white hood. I'm glad they stuck with the red outfit as well. Combine that with Gary Frank art? Fuggedaboutit.
March 2, 2012 10:34 am I really like this. Much more so than the nDCU version. I like the pointed cape and redesign of the "S". I also really dig the way he threw a little yellow in the belt. It gives a nice little homage to old suit. I must say though, I'm still a little shocked that the costume doesn't reflect how Superman will look in "Man of Steel".
