There is still a distinct lack of Zemo in Thunderbolts.
Regardless, if there's any specialty Parker has had with Marvel comics, it's spinning random ideas/characters together into something awesome. I'll stay on the book.
Everyone and everything needs more Ken Hale.
Voodoo, Pym or Beast would be great.
I'd say Hercules (Marvel) had a very good year - as did Ares, playing a similar role to Namor - as well as the Inhumans. Thirding the Fantastic Four family (heh), though I guess 2009 was just the tip of the iceberg. On a similar note, Nick Fury.
Most of the Cabal members had an interesting year - mission accomplished on that one, Marvel - but Namor (and Emma) really did play the moral ambiguity card, which is always a plus in character/plot development.
R.E.B.E.L.S., S.W.O.R.D., and/or Incredible Hercules for superhero books. I've recently dug into The Ghoul and The Anchor and am (still?) digging them a lot.
SO EXCITED! I'm already loving Gillen's run, but Fraction has proven that he can write an incredible Thor story.
I asked him if he was going to be writing the ongoing during this year's SDCC, so either this was just recently decided or he has a great poker face.
Thanks for this, Josh. I am in the midst of devising a gameplan for the series I've been working on, and I did not know if (starting as) a webcomic would be choice. Knowing that books such as Gunnerkrigg and Freakangles are actually pushing copies has made me reconsider things.
Good show.
