August 2, 2012 11:53 am I needed to reiterate, this is my favorite new series from Marvel or DC, just off this issue. I like Daredevil, but I relate more to Clint and the events in this book. Same with Uncanny X-Force, Journey, and Winter Soldier. If it continues at this quality, it will become my favorite book by the big two, easy. It really made me alot more attached to Hawkeye as a character.
August 2, 2012 11:49 am the art was horrible and NOTHING HAPPENED! He shoots one fuckin arrow! kidding aside. Yeah, I really hope they keep Clint outta costume as much as possible. This was just plain charming in all the right ways and the dog sub-plot really made me adore it all the more. Not to mention the hilarious take on the Avengers scene during the opening.
August 2, 2012 11:43 am Terrible is pushing it, even from someone who doesn't like it. I guess Year One and Born Again have really bad art too. Sorry, had to be a smart ass. Yet, the only art I like from what you mentioned is Manapul on Flash and Lopez on Wood's X-Men. Passed on Captain Marvel because the art looked just ugly to me.
August 2, 2012 11:12 am This book started a bit slow, but wow, this issue blew me away. Turned all the events of 1-6 on their head. Very season finale-ish. Made me want to go back and re-read 1-6 to catch all the clues and things you thought were throwaway. If you dropped this before #7, you missed out. Though I will say it will probably be a smoother read in trade, the wait between issue really paid off in #7, as you see what all that build up was for. Great stuff. This has now moved to "must read" for me.
June 30, 2012 10:55 am Haven't read this yet, but last issue with Gorilla Grodd I found to be fantastic. This reminds of me of more old school superheroics without a lot of the modernization that it seems The New 52 was made for. I think alot of people think it's slow or boring, simply because it's taken Flash stories back to being science-based, which makes it pretty wordy. I don't know if all of it's accurate, but it seems the science is strong and heavily researched in this book.
November 11, 2011 8:48 pm You guys are nuts. It's about STANDARDS IN SOCIETY. It's about what's acceptable and what isn't in our society and how hypocritical it can be. Atleast that is something I took away from this. The cover is the most vulgar thing involving a dog in the comic. It's the best love story i've read this year. Whoever says they are commenting on the "premise" doesn't know what the premise to this is, clearly.
