The Young Avengers has, up until this issue, been kind of a disappointment. This issue was excellent. The art was…

What about those Grimm Fairly Tales books?

    Totally kidding.

@Josh: I personally enjoyed it, but the wife was suspicious when I said it was about hitmen, but I falsely assured her that it was really about their personal struggles etc.  Oh well.

Yes, I saw the Visitor on a plane ride from NZ to SF--it was awesome!!

We're going to check out the rest of your list as well.  It was more funny to me than anything else.  She tends to have a big reaction to blood and such.  She hated Hot Fuzz for the same reason.

    Great show by the way!!

OK, so last night I saw that In Bruges was free on my On Demand.  "Hey, let's watch this, the guys on ifanboy really liked it."

2 [violent, bloody, gory] hours later, my wife, "Honey, why don't you give me a list of movies they liked so I know what not to see with you."

She is really not into the blood and violence.

December 24, 2008 11:11 am What is up with the Jonah Hex face flap?  In what weird way would any injury to the face result in your upper and lower lip becoming attached in that particular way?  In the picture you posted, it looks like his flap connects the skin just below his nostrils to his chin skin.   What kind of evil 19th Century surgeon treated this man?

This next arc needs to be a whole lot better and much more even for me to stick it out to season 4.  I am so glad they fired Loeb and friends.  I really enjoyed a few episodes, but most felt confusing and uneven--and if we of the comic geek kind feel confused, forget regular folks sticking with it.

The whole, he's a bad guy, no a good guy thing with Nathan and Gabriel was just retarded as hell.  Now Nathan is going to get them all locked up--original plot please, Senator Kelly.

Seriously hoping the Pushing Daisies dude can fix it, or Heroes is going to be Pushing Daisies...yes, a terrible joke!

Okay, I'll be the jerk for the guys.  It is a lousy dollar a week.  Skip two cokes at the machine this week and hit the water cooler or fountain instead.  For those of us who are regular on the site, this should be a no-brainer.

Of course, the previous statement is mine, and not one of the guys, so they should not be blamed should you be offended by what I just wrote.

December 12, 2008 9:40 pm @Andrew: I haven't been in Boston long enough to get upset or anything, but how can you not like the term 'wicked'.  My favorite part of Finding Nemo is the lobster saying, "It's like wicked dark down there..."
