February 1, 2013 10:40 am I'm with you, man. I love me some MoTU! I still love that show and watch it often with my kids, who also love it. SPOILERS BELOW! This was a very fun story arc. I actually wish they would have drawn the whole amnesia storyline out more. Things seemed to come together a little too fast, but maybe that's just because I was enjoying it so much. This issue was a great payoff. I was shocked (in a good way) at the brutality of the fight at the end! Plus...WHAT THE CRAP HAPPENED WITH ORKO?!? As I understand it, this is a miniseries, but it sold well enough that an regular ongoing series is going to start up in the next few months. The "origin of He-Man" one-shot that came out this week was really cool also!
February 1, 2013 10:36 am That Human Torch is AMAZING! Excellent work on the fire! The Land of Nostalgia is super fun! Had a great time picking out all the shows. I'm glad D&D was represented. I'd like this as a print also. Also, excellent use of simple lines on that Hulk. Very slick!
January 21, 2013 6:15 pm How about a remake of Airwolf?!? A rogue, terrorist nation gets it's hands on some modern military hardware and Stringfellow Hawk has to come out of retirement to mentor a new, young hotshot pilot and they fire Airwolf back up to show that modern technology is no match for great piloting and a trusty, old jet/helicopter! I'd totally watch that!
January 1, 2013 9:11 pm I picked up this issue last week as well. I haven't followed AMS since Brand New Day, but had hoped this would be a good jumping on point. My comic book shop guy recommended getting the previous two issues to get the most out of the story and WOW it was a GREAT story!....with an AWFUL ending (in my opinion). I loved the desperation in the story and the race against time, but I just can't get on-board with the ending and the new direction. It just seems wrong.
December 7, 2012 12:27 pm This is great! I love how you refer to them as "normals". This year I tried to avoid sending out a wishlist to my relatives (it just seems silly at this point...i'm 33 and don't need them to buy me anything) but eventually I was asked and put one together. Here's hoping I only get one Amazing Spider-Man BluRay or at least don't have to guess which stores the duplicates came from when it comes time to exchange.
October 18, 2012 4:13 pm That last page broke my heart, but this was still my favorite book of the week. Aaron is doing such a good job on this book that even when it makes me sad, I still love it! This is one of the best books Marvel is putting out.
June 22, 2012 10:27 am The way Mignola draws monsters with those creepy blank eyes is so good. LOVE his artwork.
June 22, 2012 10:22 am Dang, that Conan is AWESOME! Wish Travis Charest would take up a monthly Conan gig! That Spider-Man is pretty frickin' amazing also!
May 25, 2012 1:45 pm Awesome, thanks for the heads-up, Ken! I've wondered if I should be reading that title. That seals it!
May 25, 2012 12:15 pm I WON'T be buying this comic, but I AM excited to see Doop again! Is he back in continuity? Is he regularly in any of the X-books these days? I've been following the Avengers more than the X-Men for the past 5-10 years and I'm out of the X-loop.
