January 30, 2012 3:36 pm This will ready brilliantly in a trade. If you liked Fraction and Brubaker's Iron Fist, you'll love this book. The art by Frazier Irving is phenomenal and the story is fun with excellent characters. This one you'll be able to read more than once; it's dense and great to look at.
January 11, 2012 4:19 pm Disappointed that the crossover is going to cost me $3.99 for the Spiderman book when Daredevil is $2.99. Ugh... I'm sure it's only a matter of time before Marvel raises every book. But the current inconsistency is baffling. I'm not complaining if I can still get Daredevil for the lower price.
December 10, 2011 3:50 pm This is an awesome price for the content. I've been buying this book monthly, and considered to switching to the trades, considering that the collections are significantly cheaper than the individuals. But dang it if I can't help myself picking the issues up off the table. This series is so good.
December 10, 2011 3:48 pm This was a great read. The art is great, and the story is built around really strong, dynamic characters. The problem is the cost. I'm interested in seeing where this is going, but not at 20 pages for $3.99. I guess I'll consider the trade when it comes out. The Ultimates line of trade paperbacks have always been cheaper than buying the originals, so that's a bonus. Did I mention the art? AMAZING!
December 7, 2011 6:45 pm Rick Remender on Avengers, Jeff Parker on New Avengers.
December 7, 2011 6:40 pm Agreed. I want to support Costa, but 3 issues in and I can't summarize the plot for anyone, let alone detail any of the characters in the story. I'll just keep reading Cobra, because THAT book is amazing!
December 6, 2011 4:36 pm Hmmm. I loved Fraction's Iron Fist, but he doesn't look to have a major part just yet. I'll flip through it at the store. Chances are good that the $3.99 price point will cause me to leave it on the table and wait for more reviews. I could have sworn this was going to launch at $2.99. Too bad.
November 20, 2011 1:09 pm What an awesome cliffhanger! This was my Pick of the Week.
November 15, 2011 11:10 am Mavel needs to cut their writers loose from the cross-overs, and start having the individual series have it's own voice. Look at the critical and commercial success X-Force is having. It has nothing to do with Fear Itself. And this is why DC is crushing now. Each series has it's on theme and individual story. I'm sure the crossovers will start, but for now, yes.
November 15, 2011 11:05 am Who cares. I really hope PAD wrote this description to screw with the readers. It's a double-edged sword though. He's either killing off a character, which is a terrible story cliche now, and I don't care. Or he's making fun of Marvel's death-threat, and I still don't care.
