November 26, 2012 4:21 pm I hate looking at the cover prices. Just reminds me that prices have almost doubled in 10 years.
November 19, 2012 12:51 pm I would have bought Hickman's Thor, Bendis' All New X-Men, Waid's Hulk, Aaron's Wolverine, Slott's Amazing Spiderman, and Bendis' Ultimate Spiderman for $2.99. I do buy indies for that price if I like the creative team or if it is well-received. I did buy Uncanny X-Force (well after the fact), and will be getting Uncanny Avengers (when it comes out) based on Remender. But mostly it is Marvel that's missing out on my business. I initially was waiting for trades for books that got good reviews, then I either lost interest or the collected editions weren't worth it either. So I add things to my Amazon wish list and get around to buying them whenever I do. So to DC's benefit I will try their books as they come out and drop the ones that don't hold up. I can't say that for Marvel.
November 13, 2012 11:07 am I was thinking Edward James Olmos for Red Crow, but this was an inspiring article. How great would it be if HBO put this together. OR AMC!
November 5, 2012 1:17 pm It's so interesting to see what today's stars were working on 10 years ago. And this was a great week for books!
October 9, 2012 6:53 pm This was a fun read of an elseworlds tale. The selling point is Gary Frank's artwork. Very much worth the price.
October 9, 2012 6:12 pm This is THE best book being published right now.
October 9, 2012 6:09 pm I switched to trade-waiting for this title and it was a great move. This was a fantastic read in one sitting. The new artist works well with the established mood of the series and I look forward to the next. Loved it.
September 14, 2012 12:58 pm This is easily the best comic book being published right now, head and shoulders above everything else (Scalped would be next in line I guess). I've been buying the HCs of Lockey & Key as they've come out, but for the final run, I'm buying the individual issues THEN picking up the HC. This series has everything. Best thing since Planetary.
July 23, 2012 5:54 pm The epilogue also alludes to the "wipe-the-slate-clean" MacGuffin that Selina was chasing the whole movie, trying to leave, disappear, and start over. The fact that the reverse shot includes her ties up that story-line very well. Albeit a high-profile billionaire would still be very recognizable. If there was a sequel to Nolan's trilogy, Scott Snyder's Black Mirror story would be an excellent candidate, with Robin acting as Batman and plot points from of Jim Gordon's background. This would be an excellent candidate. The next movie could advance the timeline to a point where Robin-Batman gets overwhelmed (maybe he morphs into a Red Hood-type) and Batman has to come out of retirement. That dovetails nicely into Dark Knight Returns, but there are some many of the dystopian/apocolyptic elements that Nolan used here that would need to be reworked to maintain originality. I think there is a good setting that Nolan has established that you can continue it. I still want to see Bruce Willis as Batman in a Dark Knight Returns.
June 26, 2012 7:20 pm Disagree. Losers was a FANTASTIC series, one of my favorites of the Aughts.
