UNCANNY X-MEN #18
September 15, 2012 1:42 am While the dinner scene was a bit unsettling especially at the end, I found it odd that the hyped death from the AVX mini, that takes place during the battle that was spotlighted....didnt even register in Scott's mind here. If they were worried about spoiling it for readers that might have gone for Uncanny first, then perhaps this issue would have been better served next month.

AVENGERS VS. X-MEN #11
September 15, 2012 1:38 am I found the actual death that's been talked about so much to be quite underwhelming. I felt more resonance when Scott betrayed Emma as well as in the final page, than with the much hyped death.
I did however love the inking/coloring this issue....a lot of beautiful artwork this issue.

DETECTIVE COMICS #0
September 7, 2012 4:00 am Definitely agree, I think this might have been the strongest of the Detective issues since the New 52 kicked in.

Top 5: Stretchy Heroes
September 7, 2012 3:28 am Elasti-girl's ability to stretch one limb at a time is definitely bizarre....I always had to wonder how the rest of the body had the strength to support the stretched limb but thats' one of the few cases where I overthink the powers.
Does anyone else remember an issue of DC Comics Presents that teamed up Jimmy Olsen's Elastic Lad, Plastic Man and Elongated Man? I even have a hazy remembrance of a subtle reference to Marvel's Mr. Fantastic arriving to late to join in the adventure.

DC Histories: Zero Month
September 7, 2012 3:14 am I get the feeling that once a year about this time we're going to get the jumping-on point across the entire line. They may not always be zero issues but this feels like how its going to be done now.

September 7, 2012 3:01 am Phenomenal cover....just from the cover of this one alone I picked up both this issue and went back and grabbed the first as well!

DIAL H #0
September 7, 2012 2:57 am This just left me in the dust. I basically understood the first half.....but the second half just takes it too far. I like the bizarre and the weird, but I need to be able to follow the plot. This one teeters on being dropped for me.

JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL ANNUAL #1
August 31, 2012 4:29 am I really thought halfway through this book we were looking at another Justice League slaughter episode similar to the Starman issue pre-New52.... Im glad to see I was wrong, and I like that rather then a big clunky ending they just used this to transition into the next year.
