January 19, 2012 1:48 pm It certainly makes more sense in color, in context, and all that. I just still don't like the look of it. Oh well. I'll live.
December 15, 2011 10:03 am That's not so bad - you should see the OTHER outfits Alfred had to put on...
November 30, 2011 11:29 am I would read this. Actually, I love the Wagner/Moline pairing. Get those two together and I'd read it, whatever it is.
November 17, 2011 4:24 pm So many series come and go that I have a hard time putting this into perspective. Does anyone know how many ongoing series Marvel published this time last year vs. How many they're publishing now?
November 10, 2011 10:17 am Pretty sure that kid's arm is about to be ripped off, so there's something that can be done better too.
October 28, 2011 12:50 pm I agree with this. I have no problem with anyone saying anything sucks. I just have a problem with that being the ONLY thing they say. Tell us all WHY it sucks. I've read negative reviews of things that actually made me WANT to read them, because the reviewer took the time to explain their opinions, and ended up describing the story or art or whatever in terms that made me think, "Hey, this person didn't like it, but it sounds like it's my kind of thing." (And personally, I happen to love Chris Bachalo's art.)
September 10, 2011 3:10 am For years I went to a crappy store simply because it was close by. Then, one Wednesday, I was running errands in another town about 30 minutes away, and went into a store there. It was a revelation. The owner just...got it. Anything I was looking for, if he didn't have it, he offered to order it. He told me about their subscription program. He was friendly, introduced himself, wasn't too busy talking to friends or co-workers to acknowledge me, etc. I liked it so much, I made the trip back the next week, and as soon as I walked in, he greeted me by name! Obviously, this became my regular store. I only went back to my former store once again, and it was awful. Everything that I had just accepted as just being "the way it is" was suddenly unbearably infuriating. I got so disgusted with their attitudes and general cluelessness that I put back everything I was about to buy and left, never to return.
September 10, 2011 2:48 am Ooh, yeah - that was a good one. Seconded.
September 10, 2011 2:44 am Yeah, if the new #1's aren't the answer to "Where Do I Start?", then DC is doing something wrong.
September 9, 2011 8:30 am Trouble Bubble? I don't get you kids and your slang.
