August 20, 2013 4:24 pm Nope. I am reading, because most stories are so dark and dirty. I like that. Thats why I cannot get the hype for Waids DD. I like it, but its too light for me. I don't enjoy "fun" books. Never have. I want dark comics. DC stay dark. Thanks.
July 31, 2013 12:27 pm For me personally... THE greatest run on any comic ever. So good. So sad to finally see it end. I hope he returns to the character someday.
July 29, 2013 11:39 am I also think that Ryan Reynolds as Hal could work in a Justice League movie, when he doesn't have to headline the movie. As a side character, behind Cavills Clark and whomevers Batman, he would be great.
July 29, 2013 11:34 am WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG! I will only except Idris Elba as John Steward, since Elba actually looks a lot like him and is currently the biggest badass in Hollywood! He even said in a Pacific Rim interview that he wants to play an actual superhero, so... GET IDRIS ON THIS, WB! STAT!
July 28, 2013 8:37 am As a trade waiter its sometimes hard to wait for certain books to finally arrive in HC or trade. Sometimes, the wait is so hard for me that I actually break my promise to myself to never by floppies again and buy them anyway. This could be one of those times. The last I did that was for Death of the Family (which was, while good, a bit of a let down) and All Star Superman!
July 28, 2013 4:54 am Oh man! I love Manchester! I'm from Germany, but have a lot of friends in Britain. You don't have a bad city yourself! Can't compare it to NY since I never went there, but as far as europe goes, Manchester is a great city! After London its the place I visit the most frequently! Love it!
July 28, 2013 4:34 am YES!!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!! I applaud you! I am too, so fed up with all the negativity when it comes to our favorite hobby. I read all those megative articles on everything and am just saddened by it. We are living in the best time ever to be fans of comics and/or superheroes! Even if I don't LOVE love the new 52, there are a lot of books I really love and that I didn't read prior to the reboot, so thats cool! I am not a big Marvel fan, but now I read more Marvel books than ever, since they are doing so many quality books right now. For my taste, Marvel comics have never been better! Image is ON FIRE and brings me new non superhero stuff that is great and thought provoking! Superhero movies are coming out left and right! Everybody complains, but to be honest, we never had that many good to great movies about superheroes EVER! Even the most dissapointing ones (for me the Wolverine for example) are better than the best of the genre ten years ago! I love every new project that gets announced (Batman/Superman anyone?), we just had a first real Batman trilogy, by one of the best directors that are currently working and Marvel makes their own movies, which are pretty close to the comics! I mean... How can a fan of superheroes complain about that??? Its what I always dreamed about, back in the early 90s! Its the coolest time to be a fan of this stuff and I will never complain about that! I love it and will enjoy it as long as it lasts!
July 26, 2013 4:17 pm Apart from Logan, not one other character was defined beyond an archetype. I mean, come on... describe Mariko, without saying love interest, japanese, daughter of Yashida, damsel in distress and suicidal. There just is nothing there. I was really let down by the film. 6/10 at best.
July 26, 2013 2:28 am Saw it and was extremely let down by it! It looks cheap, the action is by far the worst out of all X-movies and Wolverine really doesn't let his Berserker out (even if Jackman repeatedly said so in Interviews). For me its a weak 6/10.
July 20, 2013 5:30 pm I LOVE THIS! Cannot wait! Hope they release an official title for it soon, together with a high res pic of the logo and maybe a Batman actor! Oh and by the way, those "Man of Steel had too much destruction" jokes and arguments are getting old fast. You guys ever read a modern Superman comic, or what? Shit gets destroyed. I am happy about the fact that the movie didn't shy away from that. It was epic and they had enough scenes of Superman saving people(oil rig, school bus, helicopter crash), so there really is no problem.
