August 19, 2012 12:04 am I realize how Pick of The Week works, but isn't the whole point of it to help highlight one of the best books and turn on new people that might not being reading it? Given the amount of Saga coverage on this site you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that doesn't know how good the book is. I just think after the 4th time being Pick of the Week its getting a bit redundant for readers. Not saying Harbinger was better, but just different and that book is criminally underrated and could have benefit from the spotlight.
August 18, 2012 2:17 pm I read Saga and agree that it is one of the best books on the market today, but please iFanboy stop it with making this pick of the week! There were a ton of great books that came out this week that nobody else was talking about. The reboot of Harbinger from Valiant has been fantastic and issue #3 came out this week. That could could have easily been pick of the week instead of Saga for the 6th time. We know you love Saga and that all the writers of iFanboy love it. WE GET IT! There is absolutely no need to continue making it pick of the week every time a new issue comes out.
July 31, 2012 2:38 pm If it is a small week for you and you're not looking to pick up Marvel/DC books, I urge you to check out some great indy books this week like Mind The Gap, Black Kiss II #1, Think Tank #1 from Top Cow or one of the reprints of the first few issues of Saga (the best book being published today). I think if fans gave these a chance they would discover how great these books are and how insane they are for not picking them up.
July 7, 2012 8:29 pm I'm with you in saying that this was hands down one of the worst Marvel films yet
July 7, 2012 8:27 pm Honestly, if DC even makes a mediocre movie the fanboys jump down their throat and point out everything wrong with it. Marvel spits out a giant turd like The Amazing Spide-rman and you all dig in with a spoon and a giant ear to ear grin... I honestly don't get it. THIS WAS A HORRIBLE MOVIE!!! Why is it that only a few of us realize that this was a prime example of Hollywood bastardizing a great character we all know and love? It was all around awful; bad plot, bad script, horrible horrible CGI (The Lizard made Ghost Rider look good, because it was so bad...), and to top it off they messed with the origin story and still there are fans that say it was great? I guess that's why Hollywood will continue to put out giant crappy superhero movies because as long as it has Spider-man in the title fans will blindly go see it.
July 6, 2012 7:36 am **COMMENT MODERATED** This was bad in the same way Ghost Rider, the first Hulk, the Punisher movies and Jonah Hex were all bad. BAD CGI, BAD script, CHEESY fight scenes and they botched the origin story! How much worse can it get before fans admit this was a giant turd? Anyone who thinks this was good is a blind Marvel zombie who prob raced to do see Ghost Rider 2 on opening night.
July 3, 2012 1:06 pm This just proves yet again that the House of Ideas has run out of ideas. Kind of sad when Marvel's next big move is copying EXACTLY what DC did (just without restarting continuity). Just another reason why everyone should be reading some of the great stuff Image is putting out. It makes me sick to think that this Marvel reboot will sell gangbusters because there are enough fanboys that buy and support this crap. I seriously wish fans were smart enough to look at this and boycott Marvel entirely, I know I have.
May 28, 2012 11:16 am This was a little bit cheesy at times, but overall they introduced some solid ideas and I'm interested to see where it is headed. I'd like to see a little bit more character development if they expect me to stick around for any lengthy amount of time.
April 11, 2012 8:16 am I've been disappointed with the direction of this book since Kirkman left. The story and art just don't do it for me and I hated the way Casey writes Daniel and his brother.
March 14, 2012 7:07 pm Again seeing this review kinda irks me because this is actually a decent book. You can tell the book wasn't thrown together, unlike the reviewer who tossed together this critique in 30 seconds. What upsets me the most is his lazy journalism could actually directly contribute to someone not picking this up. I wouldn't have a problem with him not liking the book and writing a review, but give us real insight into the book itself. I will admit that at first I wasn't sold on the concept of Peter Panzerfaust, but after reading it I really enjoyed issue #1 and even picked up issue #2. It's definitely a unique idea and I'm interested to see how long they can sustain me as a reader, but this is also a prime example of what makes Image so great. Image is taking a chance on fresh ideas and striving to constantly be innovative. Then on the other side of the coin you have Marvel who looks at sales charts to dictate what they do with their books. I mean really our industry is in serious trouble when a company openly talks about killing a new character every quarter to boost sales. Maybe that's why I no longer buy any books from Marvel and haven't for over a year now.
