May 6, 2013 11:10 am I loved the original Ultraverse books and Prime was fantastic, before Marvel bought it and completely ruined it with crossovers and bad creative teams that shifted away from the original vision of the book. I would love it if Marvel bring these characters back properly sort of like how Valiant recently re-launched their comics line. It would take a team of people of that truly love the characters and want to pair them up with the proper creative teams.

May 4, 2013 4:16 pm I just picked this up today on FCBD for $15 for a giant HC. It is worth every penny. I picked up the issues in the Dark Horse digital store for .99 cents and now I'm hooked. It's a book that you can read over and over again without getting bored. Simply brilliant. I wish more people would give this a chance. Glad to see it chosen as book of the month. Deserves way more readers that it has.

May 3, 2013 11:22 pm Thought this issue was simply brilliant and hands down Pick of the Week. Great emotional story that told Master Darque's origin and left me desperately wanting more. I wish the regular series could be this good.

May 3, 2013 11:08 pm Conner, I applaud you for this review, as it is exactly how I felt about this series. I loved the first six issues and then I simply lost interest during Rot World with the lame fill in artists and pointless guest appearances. I dropped it after issue 14 but read the last issue on a slow week and thought it brought some of the magic back. I do think Steve Pugh is the wrong artist for this series though.... I also agree that Soule has done two surprisingly good issues of Swamp Thing so far. I was very skeptical but his two issues so far have been good enough to keep me reading.

March 4, 2013 3:12 pm Excited to see HARD CORPS return and how Valiant re-launches them. I followed the series in the 90s and liked it. So far the Valiant re-launch has been perfect. Even Archer & Armstrong has been surprisingly good and I thought i would hate it. X-O Manowar and Harbinger have been amazing and the told of my read pile every month. Looking forward to Harbinger Wars.... Now if only iFanboy would show it some love and make a Valiant book pick of the week or review an issue on the podcast instead of complain about the latest Marvel/DC book they still shell out cash for month in and month out

February 7, 2013 9:08 am I'm looking forward to checking this out. I've heard nothing but great things about it so I pre-ordered it at my shop. I love Lemire, but dropped Animal Man in the middle of Rot World with the inconsistent art and pointless guest appearances. Hoping this will fill the void.

November 29, 2012 2:00 pm I was a little bit bummed to hear Jesse Blaze sort of crap on the writing in the old Evil Ernie series. I was a big CHAOS fans and to hear him say the writing stunk really upset me.

November 20, 2012 1:35 pm I think all 20-page Marvel/DC books should be $2.99. If there are more pages like Snyder's Batman with back-ups then it justifies the $3.99 price. I think for any independent book it should be $3.99. I hardly read any Marvel/DC anymore (Aaron's PunisherMax run was the last Marvel book I bought), and almost everything I read is independent. It drives me nuts when there are great Image books that are struggling to find an audience and end up being cancelled because they are holding onto this $2.99 price point. If it means the books come out on time, they don't need to fear cancellation and the creators get paid I'm all for every Image book being $3.99. I don't get why Image books with less than a quarter of the print run of Marvel/DC books think they are competing by being priced at $2.99. I don't care about the extra dollar, as long as I get a great book on time. All IDW, Dynamite, Avatar, Valiant and quite a few others already charge $3.99 and it hasn't stopped me from buying them. The Valiant re-launch has produced some of the best books on the shelves (X-O Manowar & Harbinger) and they are $3.99.
