Name: Clayton Scholefield

Bio: "First comes smiles, then lies. Last is gunfire." - Roland Deschain, of Gilead.Big fan of comics in general. Batman and Daredevil are favorites, but also enjoy immensely what indy books have to offer. ASP, Oni, Top Shelf, and Dark Horse (can this really be called an "indy" any more?) are some of my favorite publishers. My big comicbook crisis is trying to determine what to read monthly and what to trade wait for. I never seem to have a handle on this sort of management. Sometimes I end up double-dipping!The gang at iFanboy here have done well to make me check out books that may not of hit my radar the first time around. Fear Agent and Fell are examples of this. I am greatful for the work they do here. I may not post much, but I am a daily visitor.

May 29, 2013 4:59 pm I wasn't entirely sure, but now that I have it in my hands I am. This collection is ALL in b&w. stunning! DC could of advertised this better. It's in that nice oversized trim and it looks unreal without colour.
May 16, 2013 1:12 am I'm so happy to see this picked. I can only hope that I'm a master of something at 72 other than bullshit. Corben has been a must buy for me for quite some time now. Kubert comes to mind when I think of artists who seem to have some of their best works later in life. Also, John Severin. He was around 76 when he drew that incredible 1st Witchfinder series for Dark Horse. Great pick!
April 26, 2013 4:49 pm If only for the art, check this book out - done. I don't even read x-books. If Irving can make me buy a Skeletor comic, I can certainly buy this no question.
April 25, 2013 1:27 pm Frankly, I quite like this issue. :D Millar gets a partial "free pass" on this simply for the joy he has given me with Red Son, Old Man Logan, and pieces of Civil War. Quitely gets a "free pass" simply because he is the closest we can get to Moebius-like rock and roll (breaking all the rules - imagine Hendrix with a pencil, not a pick). What makes this worthy of several reads is the mind control sequence in the middle of all that violence. I have never seen it on page like that before. If each issue can give me a taste of like that, then I really have no worries here.
April 22, 2013 3:35 pm Anchovies are that killer topping that can make most pizzas great. It's not pizza if you have less than 3 toppings. Almost always with a cold beer too. Okay, I'm hungry.
March 19, 2013 4:37 pm I hope this is the best buck I ever spent in my life. I'm going to read this tonight.
March 14, 2013 1:48 pm I normally do not pull this, but I'm so glad I picked up the annual and now this. Yes, its another silent issue gimmick, but its clearly the best one I have ever read in my life.
March 14, 2013 11:58 am This was so much fun. That fight with the nazi robot was the coolest thing ever. My 10-year old son stopped reading his book and lost his eyes on these pages. Then he started asking so many questions. It was like he saw Star Wars for the very first time. A great bonding moment. As my son said when he first laid eyes on that big nazi robot, "oohhh, EPIC!"
March 11, 2013 3:05 pm It would now make for an interesting one shot to see the cops in this book react to a real Robin death. I miss this book very much.

SPOILER PADDING!SPOILER PADDING!SPOILER PADDING!SPOILER PADDING!SPOILER PADDING!SPOILER PADDING!SPOILER PADDING! I wish there was some way to avoid this, but that ain't happening. I have been invested in this story from the start (Batman 655 - Summer 2006?) and I'm just somewhat sad that DC and a newspaper felt this "news" had to be done. Just a little sad because I'm not completely shocked that this death happens. Personally, it was that Worlds Finest solicit that gave it away for me. That comment about Huntress mourning a loss. That sealed the deal. What I am excited about now is that we get Andy Kubert back on Batman with #18 for an issue. Obviously, the signs were out there all along. Andy drew Damian's first apperance.
