January 21, 2013 2:37 pm Lovely article and I agree we're living through a glorious time for comics. However, if you go back in time and you're standing in line behind me for the Phantom Menace, instead of telling me about comics can you tell me not to bother watching the movie please? Thanks.
January 18, 2013 6:31 pm How long before Youngblood Forever by Claremont and Liefeld hits the stands?
January 18, 2013 3:21 pm LICK??!! LICK??!! Luck. Dammit.
January 18, 2013 3:20 pm Ron, good lick mate, when I first got back into comics and emailed you guys with some question you gave me a personal response that I'll always appreciate (it was about Alan Davis so at least it was a mutual interest). Keep asking "What was in the closet?".
January 10, 2013 7:05 pm For me it is Mazzuchelli, Batman Year One is my favourite Bat story and a lot of my favourite images of Batman since that time have been drawn by artists who have been heavily influenced by him.
January 10, 2013 4:33 am Quite a lot of great films have been made by first time directors, I'd say as long as the script is right it shouldn't necessarily be a problem about the director. However, I agree that getting that script right is going to be very hard. The narrative arc of the story, its episodic nature and downbeat ending wouldn't seem to translate well to movies. However, people have translated much harder works with great success in the past so who knows!
November 19, 2012 4:37 pm God bless you Ron Richards for asking The Closet Question again.
October 2, 2012 2:06 pm I still think this has been great apart from the art. I don't mind the jumping around of ideas and things too much. There have been average issues but I think the best ones outweigh those. I loved Foreman on Animal Man so I really can't wait to read this.
September 19, 2012 3:39 pm That She-Hulk run was so good. I'd add 1985. The bit when the kid goes into the Marvel unierse and tracks down Peter Parker because he knows he's Spider-man from reading comics is one of my favourite moments in modern comics.
September 12, 2012 5:24 pm Oh cool, thanks, thought it was the 1950s arc which I read the first couple of but didn't really like. Have all the other Definitive ones so I'll get this as I haven't read this stuff.
