May 13, 2019 9:57 am I am currently sitting at my desk at my job in a library listening to this podcast, and I have to say, I wholeheartedly agree: libraries are an excellent place for comics. Also, most libraries have a way to request books that might not be currently in their system. Inter-library loan programs make it possible to get books from different libraries. You can also suggest books that you would like to see added to their collection. They won’t always get it, but it at least let’s them know that there is an audience for them. And Josh is right, when you patronize a library you increase their numbers, and that is one of the library’s biggest tools in getting funding.
December 19, 2018 9:56 am Another great show. It was good to hear all three of you together again. Thanks for a great year of podcasts!

November 5, 2018 10:47 am The story of her trying to get a silly joke into the comic and calling it her "white whale" made me audibly laugh in my office. Good for you, Katie!
September 21, 2018 9:48 am So with this Booksplode I decided to buy the book as soon as you announced it, and boy am I glad I did. I was in high school when these came out, and had been out of comics for a while, so I missed these completely. I had an absolute blast reading this; in fact, I had to tell myself to space out my reading so that I wouldn't just blow through the entire book in a weekend. You both kept saying "fun" when talking about it, and I think that is the perfect way to describe the book. Books of today have a different feel, and that isn't a bad thing, but it can be so refreshing to go back and read something like this. I will be waiting patiently for the next Booksplode because I have decided to read along with each one from now on.
September 10, 2018 8:53 am Hey guys, thanks for answering my question about commissions. It is true that I am not a huge Ramona Fradon fan, but I really love her Silver Age style. My wife is an art historian, so she has decorated our house quite a bit, but asked if I wanted to put up any comic book art. While I would love a piece of original art (thanks for the clarification), I wouldn't want to frame a random page; a splash page or cover would really be the only piece I would want to frame, and I can't afford the prices those go for, which is why I am looking more for a commission, and probably from someone who isn't currently working and who has that throwback style from the 60's. If anyone in the iFanbase knows of someone that is taking commissions who has that style let me know, but I really did fall in love with the commissions that Ramona Fradon posted.
May 4, 2018 10:41 am Just so you know, Amazon has this listed as coming out December 31, 2035. I guess I will finally get to read it in 17 1/2 years!
April 30, 2018 12:52 pm Let me first say that I think the Avengers signifier on Infinity War is appropriate so maybe my example was wrong. And Spider-man: Homecoming and Captain America: Winter Soldier really were Spider-man/Cap films. I do think that Civil War wasn't much of a Cap film and could probably have just been titled Marvel's Civil War. Putting out a film under the Marvel banner would be a way to have some crossovers without it just be a guest spot on another hero's film. In my Spider-man/Dr. Strange/ Black Widow example they would probably put a movie like that out under Spider-man because he is the biggest name/biggest draw. Do you think that the average movie-goer would show up to a movie with just the Marvel banner without a hero in the title?
