This is in-tune with what I’ve been reading in Supergods. It’s refreshing to read this character with a clean slate,…

Whoa! I had very low expectations going into this, but Daniel surpasses everything I’ve seen from him before and delivers…

Fun. That single word sums up this story. The art was the best I’ve ever seen by Giffen, even if…

May 9, 2011 7:57 pm @JoeCom - Kudos to your LCS for having that event!  Also, the art reminds me of Osamu Tezuka (Astro Boy, Metropolis)
May 9, 2011 7:53 pm Soooo excited.  I haven't read anything with Nate since the end of his title and am happy to see him again... and in a DnA book no less.
May 9, 2011 1:11 pm @TheNExtChampion - Good Point.

@Jim - I completely agree about wishing you had not known it.  BMB tweeted "Read the book a second time and keep in mind what you learned at the end", and I thought "I already knew all of that going in... you said it on Word Balloon".

I love Meleev, so I really liked the book.  I think, without having known the ending, I would have been blown away.

Instead I got to the last page and said "Yep. As promised."

Still really good.  Hoping for a long consistent run from the team.
April 18, 2011 2:42 pm Cool story. Beautiful art.  A spooky, Western horror tale that doesn't require knowledge of the games to enjoy.
April 4, 2011 12:57 pm This one really suprised me.  I read a treat by like Brubaker or Remender or someone that said "Finally, an issue of Walking Dead has a happy ending".  So like a sucker, I went in honestly believing that... boy was my mind blown.
March 28, 2011 3:29 pm This book was fantastic!  Like pure pulpy poetry.
March 11, 2011 1:04 pm Sal... I was all ready to argue based on the headline, but then you pulled the rug out from unde me.  I have to say: Great Article.  Your point about the state of Piracy in this industry and others is poingant.  When people pirate any product in such numbers it means three things.
1. They want the product digitally
2. They want to be able to get it easily
3. They want it cheap

If you make a digital version cheap and easy to get, then people will buy it rather than going to a torrent site.  And those that still go to the torrents would never buy it anyways.  They're pirates, not consumers.
January 21, 2011 7:23 pm This book makes me doubt Paul Cornell as a writer.  I have more to say, but I'll just leave it at that.  When do Abnet & Lanning take over?
January 12, 2011 2:52 pm @conor Is that sarcasm? I don't read manga, but I've heard of One Piece (Vince at 11 o'clock). As for the trade sales... Most of my trades and hardcovers (to which I'm an addict) are "non-premier" and "not direct market".  I buy my trades almost completely from Amazon... or InStock... does InStock count as direct? The only time I buy them from my LCS is when they're marked half-off years later.
January 12, 2011 1:27 pm I've got the absolutes, but haven't read them yet.  Easily one of my favorite series.  It can stand toe-to-toe with Watchmen and on the right day even wins.  Now if we could get Absolute Transmetropolitan.
