This is in-tune with what I’ve been reading in Supergods. It’s refreshing to read this character with a clean slate,…

Whoa! I had very low expectations going into this, but Daniel surpasses everything I’ve seen from him before and delivers…

Fun. That single word sums up this story. The art was the best I’ve ever seen by Giffen, even if…

June 8, 2011 12:34 pm I actually like Way's run so far.  It's fun, but it shouldn't have been called "Astonishing".  That being said, I think that it's idiotic to have to arcs, separately titled even, running concurrently in the same book.  Why would someone think that having issue 37 say "continued in 39, we start a new story in 38" isn't a ridiculous idea.

Oh, and Pearson only got 2 issues before he had a fill-in.  Marvel has bailed on this book, and so too are the readers.
June 2, 2011 1:52 pm I'm looking for a Robinson on JSA announcement.  Or on a Stargirl book.  Hawkman sounds terrible.  Firestorm bores me beyond belief.

I guess that's the bright point of the reboot.  Maybe firestorm won't bore me anymore.  But I still won't read a Daniel/Tan team-up.
May 31, 2011 4:23 pm I will buy the issues and just get the next Deluxe edition if/when it eventually comes out.  I love this book because of the pride that Brubaker takes in the whole package.  I look forward to the back material in each issue.  I was going to say I look forward to it as much as the actual issue, but that's not true at all.

Also, this may be my favorite cover of all time.  At the very least, it's my favorite at the moment.
May 31, 2011 2:10 pm This was excellent.  Definitely buy this if you are into Japanese horror.  It reminded me of Kairo by Kiyoshi Kurosawa meets a tamer Junji Ito.  Great ghost story, fantastic art.
May 23, 2011 3:39 pm Is this one of those arcs that's split across multiple Super-books?  I dropped out during War of the Supermen because of that.  I really want to pick this up for Rocafort's art, but I'm not interested in buying Superboy and SUpergirl, etc...
May 23, 2011 3:36 pm @Zeppo - I second that sentiment.  I want a Dick/Batman comic and a Gordon comic.  Both by Snyder.
May 23, 2011 3:05 pm Is this a mini?  I hope it's an ongoing.  I am completely blown away by both the art and writing.
May 23, 2011 2:55 pm Does this book ever have 2 issues in a row by a single artist?
May 22, 2011 7:46 pm @keith7198 - I had the complete opposite reaction to the art.  I loved the first one, and was very underwhelmed by the art in this issue.  The story was also better in issue 1.  That might have something to do with this being issue 2 of people contemplating a big bad thing that they won't tell us until issue 5, if at all.
May 9, 2011 8:01 pm Sam Kieth on a 30 Days book... oh, yes please!
