July 4, 2008 12:35 am I didn't read the comic so I had no conception of what to expect from this movie.  I'm not typically an Angelina jolie fan and probably would have passed on this altogether had the alternative choice not been a mike Myers movie (Love Guru) so I checked it out and was happily surprised.  I was entertained from beginning to end, the Loom of Fate didn't stike me as any more outlandish than any other comic book gimmik (bottle city of Kandor, Yellow impurity, healing factor, take your pick) The action was good, the twist was a little predictable but not terribly so.  For some reason it reminded me of a 70's Clint Eastwood movie in a "lets see how over the top we can be" sort of way.  I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5 just cuz i had a good time.
June 23, 2008 11:37 pm I still enjoy every issue.  I like the endless tangents.  I am a little worried about Fraction leaving the book but after such a long dry spell with little or no Iron Fist stories out there i'm sticking with this one for the long haul.
June 23, 2008 11:33 pm no sorry was in a hurry and missed that bit.  i'd give it a 4 on story and a 3 on art.  competent but not exceptional.
June 1, 2008 11:05 am IF this was an album it would be Indiana Jones The Greatest Hits: remix.  It felt to me like all of the classic scenes from the original three were randomly shoe-horned together.  Gotta have the a) Indy's afraid of snakes scene (check) b) big fight on a moving truck (check) c) drop down a waterfall (check) d) swordfight (check) e) gross out bug scene (check) and the plot was just kind of an excuse to throw them all together.  Surprisingly I enjoyed the flying saucer ending more than anything else because it was the only thing I hadn't already seen in an Indy movie.  I dug the sci fi stuff.  All told I'd give it a 6 or 7 out of 10 mostly just for nostalgia.  I'd go Raiders, Temple, Crystal Skull then Crusade.  I really hated Crusade.
May 9, 2008 12:06 pm What!?!? Last issue?  Aw crap.
April 22, 2008 12:06 pm I needed this issue to take a moment and focus the story a little because I was just beginning to feel like things were meandering a bit and it did that for me.  Still good character development, lots of action and surprise twists but just enought exposition to narrow the focus on who Gog is and the danger he represents.  This was good stuff.
April 22, 2008 11:57 am I picked up the first three issue series at Wizard World Chicago last year and got a kick out of it.  Kind of Leave it to Beaver meets The Day the Earth Stood Still.  I'm excited about this coming in my DCBS box I can't wait to read it.
April 22, 2008 11:53 am This was cool.  Tonto is one seriously intriguing jumble of contradictions.  I needed this issue to be good and they came through for me.
April 19, 2008 10:40 am Uh, I in no way advocate violence towards children but these little fictional bastards have to die.
March 10, 2008 12:11 am Sorry guys.  Still don't like it.
