January 8, 2011 3:17 pm I came along about halfway, after Wizard World Chicago 2005, I think. You guys were my first podcast and are still a weekly staple on my generous commute. Thanks for all the laughs and for bringing to light so many great comics.
November 24, 2010 11:49 pm Very entertaining! I haven't read the comics, but heard many good things. I thought the animation and voice acting were exceptional for a "made for TV" adaptation. It will live on my DVR for repeat viewings.
November 4, 2010 7:49 am Love watching this with my 10 y.o. son. He's completely in the tank with Marvel now, thanks to this show, the licensed Mighty Beans, the Mini-Marvel collection, and a little help from my Stan/Jack/Don Masterworks tpb's. *sniff* I'm so proud!
October 22, 2010 1:30 pm @Simmons, after further reflection, we probably shouldn't not give TOO much credit to iFanboy. There are just SO MANY titles and publishers and reprints and multi-format offerings and AMAZING creators. Supply goes up, demand falls (for all the reasons cited above), and SHAZAM! the pressures emerge to lower prices and supply.
I've cut way back, but it's more to do with my personal stack problem. I went on a buying orgy the last 3-5 years, spurred on, to no small degree, by iFanboy and other online communities and podcasts. I sloooowwly realized the need to downshift because of that finite resource: my time.
Have others experienced this? Is there a slow deflation of the comics bubble that resulted from the "new golden age" of the past several years.
October 7, 2010 9:08 pm Sure this is silly and will last about 4 minutes. But, hey, it's two of my loves, comics and hockey, colliding in Stan's head. I'll be watching. GO WINGS!
September 28, 2010 8:31 pm Just cruised the offerings at Allposters and want way too many of these! Lots of classic Kirby images. I would have a hard time choosing between triptychs of panels, splash pages, or covers. Need to re-instate that membership...
September 15, 2010 8:45 pm I bought a stack of about 20 Atlas comics off eBay a few years back. Haven't found time to read them, but some a quite pretty to look at, Chaykin, Ditko, Pablo Marcos, et al. It will be interesting to see who steps up to create the relaunched books.
August 3, 2010 9:47 am Shamefully overlooked book. Great art, lots of fun, strong character development. I only get about 70% of what's going on, just like I did with Morrison's run - and that's a good thing!
