July 24, 2013 9:36 pm Liked the first issue and looking forward to issue #2. By the way is the prose novel you are reading, the "Enemies &Allies" book by Kevin Anderson that came out a couple of years ago? Just finished that one myself and thought it was good.
July 21, 2013 8:37 am That is a great quote. But it is too soon for a Batman/Superman battle "based on that quote". That quote came at the end of a battle after 50 or so years of friendship, betrayal, etc. between Batman & Superman. It would not fit in a movie where they first meet anymore the the Kirk/Spock reactor scene fit in ST Into Darkness. It would not be earned. Nevertheles, I like the idea of a World's Finest movie. I'm just wary.
July 16, 2013 10:04 pm Ok, that was pretty funny. Thanks for the good laugh.
May 20, 2013 10:15 pm The scene got me too. But I think it was because both actors did a very good job. However, it was not close to the WOK Spock death scene which still chokes me up today. One other thing, did anyone else think Kirk was going to say "second star on the left and straight on till morning" when picking the direction for the ship and the start of the 5 yr mission at the end of the film? Since they were calling back so much to the old films, I thought they might start the new mission with Shatner's last line from undiscovered country.
May 18, 2013 6:03 pm I enjoyed it but agree the WOK reverse "death" scene was way too much for all of the reasons stated above and in various reviews. Such a scene is way too soon in the Kirk Spock relationship. The Spock KHAN!!! Yell also just came off as silly. I would have preferred it if Spock just kind of growled Khan's name under his breath so that it would have been noticibly different from original Kirk (as it should be since, despite their long friendship, Kirk and Spock have always been different). I also liked the original idea of partnering up Kirk and Khan until the turn and Khan going back to being the bad guy. Would have liked it better if Kirk and Khan saved the day together, then Kirk sends Khan and his people to Ceti Alpha 5 where they eventually have the problems. Khan would feel even more betrayed since he would have considered Kirk a frIend after they save the day together. Unfortunately, they decided to go the traditional villain route for Khan. Despite these complaints, I did have fun. Just not as much fun as Abrams' 2009 ST.
May 3, 2013 11:15 pm Really enjoyed this movie. The Mandarin twist was a nice surprise (which is not easy in this day and age). I liked the whole Matt Helm vibe this movie had going. A good start to the Summer movies.
April 16, 2013 9:26 pm Whoa. If I wasn't excited before, I am now.
March 17, 2013 11:22 am Just watched it and agree with one of the earlier posts that it felt rushed. Think JLU did a better job with the final episode / world wide battle. Also, Wally's "death" was not as emotional given that he has hardly been on the show this season. Looking back, think I preferred Season 1 better. That being said, Young Justice was a great show that will be missed.
March 10, 2013 3:07 pm Good episode. As good as the Timmverse Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. Will miss this show. Liked Kaldur's use of the hologram recording to rip apart the plans of both the Reach and the Light. Although I kept waiting for him to turn to Jabba the Hutt and offer 2 Droids as a gift.
