Nightwing97

Name: Jacob De Paz

Bio: For as long as I can remember, superheroes have always enthralled me. From Batman:TAS when I was young to my current weekly pull, they have always been a part of my life. It's no wonder that I aspire to write for them! I am the only writer in my High School (I checked) and normally get teased by my friends and girfriend for reading comics. Ironically enough, THEY drag me to the summer hero-flicks. Whatever... They'll see... :)

September 1, 2013 10:02 pm I first learned of this site back in an issue of Batman from 2010. Bad issue, but your ad was in it and after visiting I immediately fell in love with it. Good, fun discussions void of the trolls and haters that creep around other blogs or sites. I was just thinking about this the other day: "One day, when I'm writing comics, will the iFanboy community still be there to praise/hate/argue/ignore my work?" Of course, all good things must come to an end, and life must continue. It's been a fun time, great atmosphere, and inspired me with many great ideas. I'll still be here for the podcasts, but I will of course miss your other features. Life goes on, though. I hope that everyone that made this site a joy to visit will continue on happily and successfully in life. Meanwhile, I think I'll go read that Planetary collection I just bought. Cheers :)
August 31, 2013 10:02 pm I was astonished by the Swamp Thing twist and honestly laughed when I first read Adrian say that. Priceless moments. And most of those happened before social media exploded. That is part of the problem... I'll tell you how I avoid it: I don't use facebook or twitter.
August 31, 2013 8:06 pm Admitting the problem is the first step. ;) And I agree that they should put their stuff out with less fanfare. It would have made the Earth-3 reveal cooler than it was by them spoiling it.
August 31, 2013 11:48 am You're actually EXCITED by these events? I guess that's refreshing. Someone has to like them. Kudos. :)
August 31, 2013 12:52 am Olivia Wilde... That would be interesting... Or maybe that's my crush on her talking. ;) Maybe they should screen-test her. She's a good actress and needs another big, memorable role.
August 31, 2013 12:50 am Dude... I would SOOO buy an audio Bro Code or Playbook read by NPH! As for The Killing Joke, there's this little animated clip with a Mark Hamill imitation that's pretty good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC16orUje4M
August 30, 2013 8:19 pm Whenever I read a comic, I'll imagine my favorite voice actor for them. For Batman, the cast should be pretty obvious. When reading something less obvious, like Mind MGMT, I'll mine through my head for the voice actor that I think would do them most justice and just play them over while reading. For James Gordon Jr., I picture David Hayter. (kudos if you know what he's done) :)
August 30, 2013 8:13 pm Wow, great picks this week! That Spidey/Venom one looks intense! The Batman/Question is the comic that we deser... Screw it, it looks cool! Sean Murphy's Avengers is pretty kick-ass! And that Thor... You know what, I'm gonna start picking up Thor! :)
August 30, 2013 8:09 pm Ha, you guys may as well put the whole AV Anthology on here! AWESOME book! And look, it's Superman! You know, the dude that's been MIA since 2011? May just start reading that title.
August 30, 2013 8:05 pm Like that X-Men cover. Cyclops is such a douche.
