iFanboy Pick Of The Week FAIL

The correct answer was Scalped #35.

Loving 'Unknown Soldier', my favourite Vertigo title even above 'Scalped'.

Noticed you all seized up when discussing the 'Battlefields' artists other works when it came to Carlos Ezquerra. Well just for the record, the guy is a frakkin' LEGEND in UK comics (which is why Garth Ennis always works with him when he can). He designed Judge Dredd and has drawn the character off & on for nearly 30 years.

Yep Kick-Ass was a lot of fun.

But Unwritten #5 was POTW for me.

September 4, 2009 4:15 am Having just finished reading Cormac McCarthy's incredible book 'The Road', I noticed how familiar the themes are in 'Sweet Tooth'. But there's nothing new under the sun I guess, as Jeff Lemire noted in his comments in the comic. Anyway, very much enjoyed the issue and looking forward to more.
September 3, 2009 1:02 am He scripted and drew a recent 'Future Shock' for the Galaxies Greatest Comic, 2000AD (also did the cover for the latest issue #1650).
August 25, 2009 7:14 am When you listed Frazer Irvings work (re Days Missing) you missed off all the brilliant stuff he does for 2000AD. 'The Simping Detective' is probably his best art on either side of the pond to date. But also his work on Dredd, Button Man and Necronauts. Just sayin'.

(1) Garth Ennis, for Battlefields & his recent love letter (on BleedingCool) to 2000AD

(2) Guerillas. Scalped. I Kill Giants. Essex County. Locke & Key. The Twelve. Rasl. Kick-Ass. Incognito. Daredevil.

(3) The Captain Britain Omnibus.

(4) The upcoming Marshal Law Omnibus.

(5) John Wagner, for being consistently the best damn writer in comics for the last 25 years. And for 'The Streets Of Dan Francisco'.

Red Herring #1 was POW for me, right out of nowhere!

Decidedly underwhelmed by the Marvels Project.
