Guillermo Del Toro Scrubs in to Bring Urasawa’s MONSTER to HBO
April 25, 2013 12:36 am Just curious, Paul: did you see Devil's Backbone before or after Pan's? I saw Pan's Labyrinth first and felt Devil's was just a warm-up.

Guillermo Del Toro Scrubs in to Bring Urasawa’s MONSTER to HBO
April 25, 2013 12:34 am An HBO adaptation would be interesting as Monster is pretty tame by their standards. I can't see this ever actually coming to fruition. Viz tried for years to get the anime on TV without any success. Also, the manga is OOP and the anime DVDs only got one boxset released (out of 4). But who knows, maybe Pacific Rim makes a gazillion dollars. *crosses fingers*

Also, kudos to Josh and iFanboy for this clear and concise write-up.

Review: District 14: Season One
March 26, 2013 5:12 pm Yeah, Amazon cancelled mine a while back. There seems to be some distribution snag going on with Humanoids and Amazon as none of their recent books are being listed. I purchased it through DCBS/InStockTrades.

Pick of the Week #378 – The Private Eye #1
March 26, 2013 5:07 pm I hadn't thought about it, but Secret Six is an excellent choice. In a similar vein, WildStorm had some good team books.
