April 28, 2011 11:10 pm I honestly don't see the big deal.  He's not denouncing America, he just wants the freedom to do what he feels is right without worrying about someone accusing him of being a puppet.

That being said, I have no interest in reading about Superman dealing with global issues or taking long walks to get in touch with his feelings.  I think they should just Brand New Day this shit and get back to basics and tell fun stories.  I don't need Superman to teach me life lessons.

The reason the movie didn't work for me was the choice to keep it in the Christopher Reeve Superman continuity.  I was looking for a new interpretation of the mythos, not a retread.  Namely, I wanted Lex to be a corporate villain, not a mad scientist with an odd fascination with real estate.

And stalker Superman was creepy.

March 21, 2011 4:34 pm I think this is where I jump off GL.  I haven't enjoyed this book in a long time.
March 19, 2011 2:42 pm I'm definitely onboard.  Ghost Rider is my guilty pleasure character. Though I'm not sure about a new GR, we already have two running around.  Is this a new trend in comics, just to have multiple versions of a character (Batman, Flash, Green Lantern Ghost Rider) running around?

And this .1 idea is getting out of hand.  0.1?  Honestly?

So sales just under 56,000 gets you in the top ten these days?  Yikes.

January 31, 2011 6:10 pm Can't I read good superhero books AND good creator-owned books?  Why must it be an all or nothing scenario?
January 28, 2011 3:57 pm With DC trying to keep their prices low I'll probably end up sampling some of these miniseries.

The same can't be said for FEAR ITSELF.  $3.99 books means I will be avoiding that event.

I'm sure FF will be replaced by a couple of miniseries conveniently priced at $3.99.  Then, after 6 months whoever "dies" will come back.  FF will relaunch with a new #1 and a price hike,  Brevoort will still be wearing his goofy hat, and all will be right with the world.

Stories like this make me wonder why I read books from the big 2.
