Name: Jon James

Bio: I'm currently a UK resident who started reading comics when I was 13 with the Batman: Hush story. I've moved away from superheroes as I've got older, and I'm slowly edging towards fully fledged indy snob. I've also managed to find an artist to draw one of my stories. Feel free to view it at http://www.stephenrpakiart.com/html/western_story_page_1.html

March 19, 2013 12:25 pm I purchased this as well. Read it. Loved it and then felt guilty as if I hadn't paid enough for it. I think for issue 2 I'll be giving them a bit more...
January 14, 2013 5:44 am My vote has to be for Frank Miller. Lots of artists were able to draw Batman amazingly well, but a lot of them seemed to be doing a homage to the past. Frank's art was the first time I felt someone was able to redefine Batman in a new direction. The fact that he didn't resemble Bob Kane or Neil Adams' Batman was wonderful and really allowed to me to get the most out of the story.
October 10, 2012 5:34 am I'm unsure about this. I couldn't stand Smallville, so the idea of this as it's spiritual successor is a bit disheartening, but I'll give the first episode a chance at the least.
March 1, 2012 1:47 pm My main issue with the Avengers theory is that I'm not sure why he'd leave Ultimates for it. Hickman's talked in the past how much he loved the Ultimates and he was doing a great job on the book. I can't see why he'd leave that to go do a similar team book and one where he probably wouldn't have the same creative freedom. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he'd do a fantastic job but it'd seem to me like Bendis leaving Ultimate Spider-Man to go work on Amazing instead.
February 1, 2012 2:24 pm My first thought when I saw the picture that accompanied the article was "Hey, that kinda reminds me of Prophet." So the opening sentence was a nice surprise.
December 15, 2011 9:48 am Yeah, this issue was great. I'm not sure it was as good as the last issue but this is turning into a solid little horror story.
November 18, 2011 11:41 am I can't wait for this.
November 17, 2011 3:50 pm This was the issue that got me... I've enjoyed all the previous episodes, but it was this issue (specifically the diner scene) that made me think "Well, there goes my hope of sleeping tonight."
October 20, 2011 12:30 pm Geoff Johns is really channeling his inner Bendis in this book. Not that that's a bad thing.

I'm quite pleased with this development...
