December 7, 2009 2:31 pm This arc has driven me away, after the book had gotten really good after issue 600. I'll have to look at the rest of the books coming out this week, but I think this is dropped for me.
December 7, 2009 12:23 pm Awesome. I'd be completely happy if they threw out the monthlies and moved to a line of OGNs like these-- particularly if they kept it limited and with high quality creators. E.g., one Batman book by a Johns/Frank team, one Superman book by JMS, one Grant Morrison book of some sort coming out (maybe a multiverse book).
November 27, 2009 10:35 am This was a good issue, and this has been a nice little mini so far. I like Gillen, and Ares has become a very interesting character the last year or so, between Dark Avengers and Secret Warriors.
Dear Marvel: if you insist on leaving Greg Land on this book, please have Fraction immediately kill off two of the Cuckoos-- so we don't continue the embarassment of watching Land simply draw one Cuckoo, then copy the image twice, as opposed to actually drawing all three.
Matter of fact, Marvel, if you insist on leaving Land on this book, please just charge an extra dollar per issue, and run Fraction's script in the back, so I can just get the story without having to endure the "art."
And... dropped. Gorgeous art, but that's about it-- and not enough for the hefty pricetag.
