Great Pages: SUPERMAN CONFIDENTIAL #2
April 15, 2013 11:20 am Superman Confidential was and still is a very underrated series. It's pages like this that make it the de facto 'Young Superman' story for me.

Kneel Before MTV Movie Awards Teasers for ‘Iron Man 3’ & ‘Man of Steel’
April 15, 2013 11:16 am Either he's the warden, or he's simply taken authority and place of leadership over the other Kryptonians in the Phantom Zone as per previous versions.
Speaking of Krypton, I'd really love it if DC and Warner Bros adopted the Red Son origin. Making Krypton a far-flung future version of Earth is still a really cool idea and explains a lot of the similarities between the two as well as why Jor-El chooses Earth (if he simply wants his son to 'do good' on other worlds, then surely he'd ship the little brat off to Oa?).

Comic Book Casting: SAGA Live-Action Movie
April 15, 2013 10:26 am And just out of personal opinion I'd swap Alba for Aisha Tyler. Whether it's because of their similar names or their passive-aggression, I don't know, but whenever Alana speaks I can't get Agent Lana Kane's voice out of my head.

Comic Book Casting: SAGA Live-Action Movie
April 15, 2013 10:19 am i don't see why SAGA couldn't be made into a TV show. Surely it would be cheaper to make than something like Game of Thrones? Adapting most of the places we've seen so far would no different than producing Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica (i.e. Earth-normal outdoor backdrops and small indoor sets), and most of the props / weapons are simplistic plastic and wood designs rather than expensive metalwork. The only area of production I could see being expensive would be in makeup and costume design, but even then there are always cheaper workarounds for practical effects.

Great Moments in Comics History: Batman #134
March 21, 2013 2:11 pm Defeated by a puff of wind. I can't imagine the dynamic duo put this on their resume.

Great Moments in Comics History: Batman #134
March 21, 2013 2:09 pm According to Grant's run, this whole era of psychedelic Batman stories happened in his mind, either a) as an after effect of being exposed to all kinds of weird mild-altering drugs by villains like Joker and Hatter, in the time before he built up a natural resistance or b) as part of his trip while locked in Doctor Hurt's isolation chamber.

Thor: The Mighty Avenger – The Complete Collection
March 12, 2013 8:54 am For me it's this series, and not the Simonson run, that's the go-to Thor book. Even in it's unfinished state it's pretty spectacular, I'm surprised that the editors involved in this collection didn't ask Langridge and Samnee to wrap up their run in a special one-off story (a la 'Omega the Unknown: Classic'), or at least include any scripts / notes of theirs that spell out what was meant to follow.

The Best of the Week in Panels – 01.30.2013
February 1, 2013 2:44 pm At the beginning of the pilot Bruce has a heart attack out in the field, and then it cuts to him shutting off the lights in the Batcave for the final time. I read these panels as taking place between those two scenes, depicting him being tested and then being persuaded to retire by Alfred.
