June 17, 2013 1:36 pm I will start buying Earth 2 again because of this. I bought the first five issues but dropped it. Tom Taylor is killing it on "Injustice." Not just the shock moments but the dialogue and direction are just fantastic.
May 9, 2013 3:07 pm One of the best things Byrne ever did was the "Malice" storyline. It was like Alan Moore's reimaging of the Swamp Thing and Miracle Man. But, obviously, not quite as brilliant. Up until then Sue could essentially put bubbles around peoples heads or around people near her when buildings fell on them. In the Malice storyline, Byrne point out that she was Green Lantern. Who could turn invisible. Didn't need a ring. And didn't suck.
April 23, 2013 11:27 am Anyone who doesn't like Millar should read Old Man Logan. Awesome mini series. I just hope this goes to digital opening day. Most of Millar's stuff is not digital yet, like Super Crooks, which I'm dying to read.
April 17, 2013 2:45 pm I can't really be the only one not excited about this can I? Superman is my favorite superhero and this looks like crap to me. So, superman has a SuperStamp now? Who exactly is Baby Clark trying to emulate? When a little boy runs around with a red cape, he wants to be Superman. Because he knows of Superman... Get my point? So, Superman is a fisherman that hitch-hikes? How is that appealing? Are those police cuffs symbolic or something? Where does Zod get an army? This is all going to be some existential journey about man finding his place in the world and being told to do what's right no matter what. /yawn. The only good thing I see in this movie is Amy Adams.
April 11, 2013 8:06 am I really enjoy this book. A very long time ago "World's Finest" used to be about the friendship between Batman and Superman. This mirrors that feeling and partnership so well.
April 9, 2013 2:31 pm I dropped this title after the first five issues did less than impress. I picked this up after it was made pick of the week and I loved it. I was in awe of the art and it brought me right back to the days of Simonson's Thor which were about as defining as Peter David's Hulk and Moore's Swamp Thing. I loved this issue.
February 27, 2013 8:32 am I found this last night on Comixology and they have 7 chapters for 99c each and I devoured them. Shocking stuff and the dialogue is hilarious. Its not exactly an original storyline, but it's usually done with alternate characters in another company as cheap ripoffs. I'm greatly enjoying this, had no idea it was a video game tie in.
February 11, 2013 5:59 pm I agree. I have just finished reading Hickman's run on Fantastic Four and I LOVE IT. Three times I've read it now. But that doesn't make me blind to this run on the Avengers. Sentry was a horrible idea for the marvel universe and this entire run s going in the same direction. Lets make the Avengers into the JLA with beings as powerful as Superman and turning the Avengers into some massive galactic task force. Hickman perfectly captured the cosmic event within a family family feel f the FF and I loved that! That is NOT THE FEEL THE AVENGERS SHOULD HAVE! I don't think anyone has captured the FF as well as Hickman (Ben living thousands f years was heart wrenching) but I'm not enough of a fanboy to ignore this run on Avengers is a bad direction. Sorry if this is unpopular but Avengers are not the cosmic JLA.
January 24, 2013 8:59 am Perfectly said and I agree. Dropping this.
January 16, 2013 3:31 pm I wasn't really clear on my first point. With the shop an hour away I spent about twenty bucks a year on comics. With digital I spend twenty or thirty bucks a week and have caught up on all back issues.
