Name: James King

Bio: "What is the meaning of it, Watson?" said Holmes solemnly as he laid down the paper. "What object is served by this circle of misery and violence and fear? It must tend to some end, or else our universe is ruled by chance, which is unthinkable. But what end? There is the great standing perennial problem to which human reason is as far from an answer as ever."

It was a remarkable series. Better drawn than most of the product on the stands these days.

December 24, 2009 7:45 pm One wonders, though, why the Bride of Hell is drawn wearing a Motel 6 tericloth bathrobe throughout.

The greatest, most intelligent, most far reaching, most absorbing Justice League story ever produced. However, this ABSOLUTE EDITION is not truly "absolute".  In 2008, DC produced a one-shot 48 page issue entitled Justice League The New Frontier Special.  That one-shot contained at least one story, written and drawn by Darwyn Cooke, that was DIRECTLY related to the events which transpire in The New Frontier story proper.  This 2008 story OUGHT to have been part of the ABSOLUTE EDITION.  It's exclusion puts the lie to the label "absolute".
