May 8, 2013 9:13 am Scarlet-Batman, you have a good point. And I totally see it. I am attached much more to the characters that I've been reading for years and often find myself simply not caring about new characters introduced a lot of the times. But I honestly don't think that this is one of those times. My major dislike of this series so far has been the constant reiteration of 'The System is Broken'. Maybe it's just Hickman's style of writing, or maybe is just need to be 'spoon-fed' an actual plot, but I've been reading this since the start and still have no idea what this 'System' is. I don't want to have to buy and read two years worth of comics just to make sense of the ones I'm reading now. I like the origin of Nightmask and Starbrand's was pretty cool as well, but the constant muttering and vague idea's of whatever it is they're talking about has annoyed me to the point of not caring. And likely placing the blame on the characters themselves. I really liked the villian Ex Nihilo as well. I thought he had a lot of potential. And it seems he may still yet. But the end of the first confrontation with him on Mars left me totally flat. Captain Universe tells him to 'Stop that' and so he does. It's just not for me. And at least I still have Uncanny Avengers!

May 7, 2013 9:27 am I'm a big fan of the Dresden Files books and having Jim Butcher give us an original story like this is awesome. I've been enjoying this book and think that anyone who reads the novels should check this out.

May 7, 2013 9:24 am Dropped. I've heard nothing but good things about Hickman but this just isn't for me. I honestly couldn't care less about whatever this 'System' is or who Nightmask and Starbrand are. Everyone says that Hickman writes with a long story arc in mind and you have to wait for the pay-off, but I'm just not that interested.

April 19, 2013 6:45 pm I thought the same thing with that Cap pic. This was by far the greatest looking book that Romita Jr has put in for his Cap run so far! Just breathtaking!
