June 7, 2010 9:39 pm Of course the movie itself will be the jumping off point for many readers.
April 12, 2010 10:27 pm The creative team on this are killing it. The brilliant David Johnson covers are the icing on the pick.
April 12, 2010 10:24 pm I'm really looking forward to this. Malmont's homage to Doc Savage & the pulp era, "The Chinatown Death Cloud Peril" was fantastic. Not to mention that madman Jason Starr writing about another madman, "The Avenger" should be perfect.
April 12, 2010 10:21 pm So far this has been superb.
April 12, 2010 10:03 pm Based on that description I'm buying it. Sold!
March 12, 2010 11:47 pm I had no idea any of this was going on except, after reading a free copy of "Invincible Iron Man" #1 I went to Amazon to see what the trades ran. There I happened on the deal of a lifetime & ordered the Omnibus for $14.99. Already been delivered too. Probably better I didn't know what was happening as I would now be broke & have a room full of Omnibus collections.
March 9, 2010 10:10 pm This series/run was pure nutsgonzobats**tbullgooselooneyinsane. Loved it.
November 27, 2009 10:15 pm I've been reading "Hellblazer" since #1, so I can completely understand how you feel about that book. I feel like Constantine is a constant presence in my life as every thirty days or so I pick another chapter in his life. Constantine is a remarkable character in that so many different authors & artists on the book mold him to their vision without Constantine ever disappearing but still changing all the time. There have been a lot of great/classic runs on "Hellblazer", but I think Azzarello's run is my favorite & I think it's his best stuff, too.
August 5, 2009 12:40 pm This matches & exceeds my (high) expections and the hype surrounding its release. A true work of art that somehow manages to surpass the (high) quality of the original work by the great Richard Stark (aka Donald Westlake, RIP). If you haven't already done so, read the book, the graphic novel & then watch John Boorman's superb film, "Point Blank". Great write up & this will probably be the book of the year as well.
May 16, 2009 1:26 pm "100 Bullets" by Azzarello & Risso is one of the great comics (crime or otherwise) of this era.
