September 3, 2013 6:47 am As this is a real bummer to discover, I TOTALLY get the chaos of life (work, family, etc.) preventing you from doing all that you used to do. Things change and life goes on. Though I'm not one to regularly comment on the site, it has been my daily "go-to" for reviews and commentary, not to mention my "Tuesday ritual" of pulling my books for the coming week. The site and the show have always been top notch and I look forward to whatever you guys put your energies into in the future. Thanks for creating a great community and for sharing your insight and passion with all of us!
June 3, 2009 11:30 am Btw, thanks for the rundown Conor. Can always count on you to represent the Bat in the show and here on the boards!

As a longtime Batfan, I'll be reading all of these. For anyone new to Gotham, probably not the best time to jump on board if you're expecting Bruce. But then again, it could be a good time if you wanna start fresh w/ some new bat-titles. Either way, I'll be along for the ride. Hopefully it's a great story. What more can we ask for?

May 12, 2009 10:18 am Couldn't agree more. This is the best book nobody is talking about. Consistently amazing art by Skottie Young that is perfectly suited to the book. I've been reading this with my daughter and we're LOVING it. Truly an "All Ages" book.
May 12, 2009 10:15 am I'll give it a shot and hope for the best.
May 12, 2009 10:14 am This book continues to amaze. Great original story. Fantastic storytelling that suits the tone of the book and just overall great design from cover to cover (and yes, I love the back cover stuff).

This book has just been a continuation of Birds of Prey (which ISN'T a good thing). Something BIG better happen in this final issue that ties it into BFTC. Otherwise, I'm not seeing the connection...

And for the record, as cool as it would be for Barbara to be Batgirl again...she SHOULDN'T be Batgirl again. She's a far stronger character as a reminder of what she's faced and she's a genuinely unique character in mainstream comics.

May 12, 2009 10:06 am I'm just waiting for the inevitable return of Jean Paul Valley....ugh.
