Name: Lawrence Zepeda

Bio: I'm a student, and a comic fan when I can find the time. I may not make it to the store every Wednesday, but that doesn't mean I don't get that feeling Wednesday morning, like nothing in the world can bring me down because it's comic book day. I enjoy sci-fi, fantasy, street level, and mystery comics.

March 10, 2013 12:47 pm More Jae Lee covers and The Spectre/The Question please! This book is really hitting up the mystical side of the DCU and outshines JL Dark by a mile.
March 6, 2013 11:42 pm Bunn is slowly mastering the tone of Flash when he isn't in costume. The empty apartment and school gym scenes had me impressed. Declan Shalvey really knocked it out of the ballpark this issue. That last page has me very excited for next issue. I could use more Declan Shalvey and Kev Walker in my life. Those guys rotating on Thunderbolts was killer.
March 6, 2013 11:17 pm Would you guys recommend this arc to someone who dropped out due to missing issue 3 and not continuing? Is it goofy like the gorilla with the chain gun and the Doctor Doom attempted hit?
March 4, 2013 11:41 pm I have a two year old who absolutely adores Superman Family Adventures and we read it every night before bed. I would love to get him some more stuff age appropriate with little to no adult themes at all, looks like currently the closest I will get is Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers:EMH, Popeye, Peanuts, Adventure Time, and Green Latern:TAS. Those are fun and enjoyable to myself at the ripe old age of 23 but I was hoping for something more along the lines of Owly... Anyone know of anything like Owly or the other stuff Top Shelf does for kids that would be appropriate for a preschooler?
February 25, 2013 9:26 pm I'm buying this solely for that Steampunk Stormwatch backup story. Jenny FREEDOM!!!
February 11, 2013 9:19 pm Even if Morrison kills Damian, DC wouldn't let it stand for too long. Damian sells books and is popular, he won't stay dead because he helps push sales. That said, I like how this book is as good as if not better than Snyder's Batman because Tomasi really understand what the relationship between Batman and Robin, as father and son should be. I never read any of Morrison's Batman so this dichotomy feels right to me.
February 11, 2013 9:07 pm Snyder already has me wounded from the terrible ending to Rotworld, so he really needs to pull something amazing here for me to continue to have faith in him. He's a good writer but the editorial hand in his books, with stretching them out and diluting them is too much for me. That and I heard from an interview a while back that his next arc is a nine issue Riddler story. That's $36 too much for me and about 5 issues too long of an arc.
January 30, 2013 10:44 am You guys will be glad to know that this becomes an ongoing starting in April!
January 29, 2013 2:14 pm I thoroughly enjoyed the interview, thanks to Paul and Robert for taking the time to bring it to us! Any chance of more "Don't Miss" featuring Valiant creators? I'd kill for a Shadowman entry as that series has really been awesome so far. Or maybe a spotlight or article on the upcoming Zero issues?
January 27, 2013 10:58 pm Wait so Paul doesn't start this week? Let me know when he's on the show finally...the sweet sound of his voice is the only reason I will be tuning in. Just Kidding! I think it's fitting for Ron to go out with a nice Young Avengers swan song. We all know we've been waiting for the GOOD Marvel NOW! book by Kieron Gillen.
