Bio: I was born in Oak Park, Illinois, the daughter of Horace L. White, a traveling salesman and electrical engineer, and his wife Tess Cachikis.[1][2] I am of Greek and German heritage. I was raised in Los Angeles, California. I attended Horace Mann Middle School in Beverly Hills, California, and then went to Beverly Hills High School, where I graduated in 1939.
