The Best of the Week in Covers – 06.26.2013
June 28, 2013 11:18 am Ever since issue 5 the Hawkeye covers have been mostly red, black and white. The red color scheme started when they did "the tape" cover on issue five. It was pretty much the same as the cover of issue 4 except splattered with blood. Since then they haven't done any purple-centric covers.

June 12, 2013 – Thor: God of Thunder #9
June 13, 2013 6:23 pm So does this beat out Fury MAX from last year? Or are they tied. I just remember seeing it picked a bunch. And for good reason, great storytelling by great storytellers. I always thought of Aaron as being a product of reading lots of Ennis work. I'm glad he decided to find his voice in mainstream super hero comics. It was sooooo needed.

Preview: RZA & Ghostface Killah Present TWELVE REASONS TO DIE #1
May 11, 2013 7:48 pm I am pretty sure I remember reading an interview with Method Man where he talked about naming himself Tony Stark and Iron Man was about the only thing Ghostface ever did related to comics. According to the interview he gave, Meth is the only one of the clan who actually read Marvel Comics growing up. Whether or not this is true, I have no idea. I am a huge Ghost and RZA fan so I will check this out. But I hint they are more influenced by the crime, samurai, and Kung fu flicks of the 70's rather than comics.

Eisner Judge Frank Santoro and his BEFORE WATCHMEN Blacklist
April 18, 2013 6:24 pm I understand the animosity towards Before Watchmen. It makes since to me why people boycott it. Personally, I didn't like the idea to make these books, but I would never, NEVER, let an artist or writers affiliation with something I don't agree with interfere with what I decide to read or not read. That's dumb. If BKV came out tomorrow and said he was a meth addicted eater of babies, would I still read Saga? The answer is, you bet your stinking face I would. I found out what's in a Burger King burger and that hasn't slowed me down on eating whoppers.

‘The Wolverine’ Gets Domestic and International Trailers, Many Jackets
March 27, 2013 7:33 pm He has lost his powers before, and believe it or not, there were some really great stories from then. I suggest Wolverine: Ain't Dead Yet by Warren Ellis and Leinil Francis Yu. I mean, it's Warren Ellis writing Wolverine, plus some really awesome art from a young Leinil Yu. With that kind of talent, you can't go wrong.

Weekly Sketch Up – 02.15.2013
February 15, 2013 11:18 am You mean to tell me that Hellboy and Wolverine go fishing and they don't bring any beer? I don't buy it. Awesome sketch, of course. But there is no wat these dudes aren't going to drink while they fish. Inconceivable.

Light Week? Try SNAPSHOT #1, GARTH ENNIS’ RED TEAM #1, & DIA DE LOS MUERTOS #UNO
February 5, 2013 12:06 pm We need a Grim Fandango comic. That was too awesome of a world they created to not be further explored.
Definitely picking up Red Team. Read the preview. It seems like a solid pick. Not too sure about Snapshot because Diggle doesn't really do it for me. If he is teaming up with Jock again, then no doubt it will probably be worth the dough. Picking up Dia De Los Muertos for the same reasons Paul listed. Grim Fandango had 13 year old me on a whole different level. Since then I have developed a fascination for day of the dead imagery.

TEASERS: “Submit or Perish” in the AGE OF ULTRON [Update]
January 25, 2013 4:45 pm Because a metal suit that forms to your muscular definition is definitely not ridiculous. I love Adi Granov but don't understand why he would make his suit look like it's painted on his body.
