Sometimes, Goddamnit, you’ve god to resist the nit pick. Finishing this story, my head was full of a half dozen…

OK, review first, quickly, then to the argument. As has been noted elsewhere, this was a beautifully drawn and semi-competently…

The pitch was probably pretty easy. It’s the X-files, but with dogs! The strange mysteries of a strange town will…

March 2, 2010 10:14 pm I mean Avengers 298.  Once again, I am reminded that though I can shine a mean shoe, I am no Jarvis.
March 2, 2010 10:12 pm To me it comes down to Avengers 297, Jarvis vs. the Infernoed Marvel U with not an actual avenger in sight for the whole issue, and Jarvis comes out on top, with a girl.  Once you've taken down an absurd late 80s mega-event, which featured demon fire hydrants, what's a washed up Bat-maid?
March 2, 2010 9:58 pm BQ: Best looking guy with my social security number, as long as they disqualify that guy who stole my identity, who was admittedly quite a handsome fellow.
February 26, 2010 5:54 pm Somewhere in the netherworld, Bob Kane is laughing.  And Bill Finger is probably justifiably pissed.
February 26, 2010 1:59 pm Did I mention that I was governor of NY?  Thank God for comics, it's been a rough week.

Killed by your eyes, yes, but also mesmerized by your strangely round man boobs. So you have that going for you.

February 25, 2010 7:43 pm That FF cover is gorgeous.

Ten Cent Plague is overrated; you're better off just reading Gerard Jone's Men of Tomorrow, which covers some of the same territory.  Hadjuou doesn't seem to understand comics and their creators on the same level that Jones does; also Louis Menand's take on the book in the New Yorker, that it was a highly simplistic reading of complicated issues, is kind of dead on.

Shulz is amazing, but you kind of have to get over the fact that this incredible, unique artist was kind of a boring guy who could be mildly assholic (he cheated on his wife with the girl playing Lcuy in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, a character based on a younger version of his wife).

Anyway, nice write up man.

February 23, 2010 10:11 am Cosmic Odyssey is an inspired choice.  Would like to see Great Darkness Saga or Loeb's Challengers of the Unknown--Loeb's first and (by a long mile) best work.
February 22, 2010 9:51 pm Man, if you guys talk about this issue on ifanboy, you better emphasize the spoiler warning, cause that guy's going to be pissed.
