Fan of Non-Superhero Comics. --- Some of my favorite chronically slow or indefinitely delayed series I wish these creators and publishers would continue: Berlin by Jason Lutes (Drawn and Quarterly), Scarlet by Brian Michael Bendis (Marvel), Satsuma Gishiden by Hiroshi Hirata (Dark Horse), Fell by Warren Ellis (Image) and Loose Ends by Jason Latour (12 Gauge)

May 22, 2013 8:01 pm I like Zezelj's art in general. That Scalped issue with the old couple was amazing. I think he nailed this issue, and I think his dusty dirty style makes more sense for this series than the super-clean fashion catalog look the series began with.
May 6, 2013 10:21 pm Hadn't heard of this but here's a review, sounds pretty good. http://www.aintitcool.com/node/61906
April 29, 2013 10:20 pm Wherever data goes when your computer crashes I guess. Computer File Heaven? Would definitely love to see that series come back though.
April 27, 2013 3:46 pm I read your comment here before I'd read the latest issue and I was worried the whole plot was going to be chalked up to fantasy, but I felt instead we were left with questions about what is in his head and what isn't. Which is a natural progression since part of his own power is manipulating other people's minds; I fell like it's a good way to further explore these themes of both sanity vs insanity and the whole concept of individual free will.
April 24, 2013 9:36 pm The plot thickens... Between this and Mind the Gap I'm impressed with how McCann weaves together a lot of elements into one very engaging story. Good stuff.
April 22, 2013 9:31 pm Yeah this series has been great! Even when I saw the solicit on Images's website showing it would be out this week, couldn't be sure until I see it on the list here today. Hopefully more folks will check this series out in some kind of collected format once the gap between issues isn't a problem.
April 17, 2013 11:16 pm I'm not too familiar with McKeever's work but this blew me away. Integration of art and story was awesome. My expectations weren't too high from the description, but this was excellent!
April 10, 2013 9:25 pm Maybe the Robot Royalty's suspicious resemblance to old-school imacs just pushed it over the line in this case. Could it be that underneath the narrative of Saga the brilliant BKV has planted a secret message? Could Saga be nothing more than a thinly veiled treatise (compelling if not entirely persuasive) against Apple Computers?!?!
April 9, 2013 2:16 pm I was much more of a DnD guy than a comic book guy as a teen and I also like classic fantasy a lot. I'd recomend Skullkickers to others with a gaming background. It is a very humorous take on the swords and sorcery genre. It reminds me so much of DnD because while you usually play a "hero" many players are ultimately very motivated by treasure and experience points (often gained by fighting), and Skullkickers comic has played up that contradiction ("heroes" who only loves fighting and booty) to the hilt. I really need to check out Northlanders because I love Brian Wood's work too. Helheim is off to a decent start as a horror-themed viking comic.
