May 5, 2011 3:35 am Don't know squat about Thor, but just ordered the Omnibus. Looks too good to pass up.
April 28, 2011 4:16 am Daytripper will make you contemplate your life for days after reading the final page.

A great book that should be read by all, not only comic book readers.

April 21, 2011 12:14 am Speaking of Batman has anyone ever read any Phantom comics? I grew up with the Phantom because of my dad, he actually learnt how to read English because of these comics. The Phantom is a lot like Batman being a character that has no special powers and had to rely on his strength and wit to beat the bad guys. His heritage gives him the allusion of immortality. I guess I've always loved the idea of the son following in the fathers footsteps, this obviously stuck because that's what I'm doing at the moment. I will always have fond memories of reading comics with my dad growing up.
April 19, 2011 12:36 am The action sequence with the plane and bullet shot at Supes eye was all that was good about this film, saw it again only a few days ago and it's reminiscent of what Lucas did with Star Wars Episodes 1 -3, too much fluff and bad acting for my liking.

The new reboot better be fresh and edgy for the sake of one of the greatest superheros of all time. Will be very hard to beat Donner's films.
April 3, 2011 8:10 pm Thats why I just read my comics out loud now, while the kids are eating or bathing etc etc. I censor bad imagery or language by reading those parts in silence and not showing them the imagery. For example, instead of saying "I'm going to rip off your head and shit down your neck!", Id say, "Your a very bad man and I want you to stop being cheeky".

Point being, you can make it work if you want to, it just requires a bit of editing depending on what your reading.

P.S. watch out for bath splashing whist reading when they are in the bath.
March 31, 2011 7:22 pm YES!!!! Loved this show growing up, still remember playing with my Rhino and Condor action figures (the purple kenworth truck with working missles and the green heli-bike). Good to see they are bringing back some of the classics, sick of pokemon and all the other garbage they produce these days. Now all we need back is he-man :-)
March 31, 2011 7:05 pm Love Geoffrey Rush.

P.S. I think it's great that DC arn't hyping up the movie too much, can't stand when the previews give away the best action scenes or plot points.
March 24, 2011 3:18 am You reckon they could pull of a movie like this for Captain Kangaroo?
March 23, 2011 1:59 am @vadamowens  I agree, Preacher is in my top 5 best comic series ever, I dont even know if the God Chris Nolan could make this work. There is just too much story here and I'd rather not see it done if it's not done properly. To start it would have to at least be a trilogy, secondly you would need a kick ass director, actors and I'd probably want Ennis doing the screenplay. In the words of Doc Brown, "It can't be done, it can't!!! This would work better as a TV series. That all being said, i'll still watch it if it does get made.
