Bio: Hello, I'm what you call a geek *gasp*, yes, it's true... What's that?  I'm among friends now? awesome, then let me share my origin story with you! I've been reading manga for years now (started buying them regularly about 9 years ago), started off with the regular dragon ball, as time went on and as I matured I wanted something more... About a year or two ago, I started reading comics for the first time, (my brother had bought me an avengers comic book from way back during their first "event" with the skrull, but I was like 8 years old and didn't know what I had in my hands back then) and it was just what I wanted, namely; like nothing else I had experienced. Several characters from different independent books all sharing one universe? It was all new to me, and I was loving it! Growing up in Sweden, I had a somewhat sheltered life from American comic books, hell even manga was almost impossible to track down until the big manga "boom" of. But with no friends to share my passion with, and thus no Community to allow my new found interest to thrive in, it was instead extinguished. I had limited funds for buying comics, and with only one store in the whole city that qualifies as anything close to a "comic book store" I ended up giving up on the life-style. I ended up studying natural science, this path of geek-dom eventually lead me to Revision3, and after a month I finally noticed the banner with three comic books, each with eyes peering out from above them. Little did I know that clicking the banner would change my life. Well, actually, I didn't click the banner... It took another month before I had decided to expand my horizons by checking out Ifanboy. After that, I decided to pick up comics again, but ended up focusing exclusively on DC this time (by now I had become a huge fan of smallville and had simply gravitated towards their universe rather than Marvel). But one of them Ifanboys must has hypnotic powers because each time they brought up these new topics/comics, I felt like I should be out there, as if I kept on getting that speech that Morpheus gave Neo about how he lives in a computer and that there's a whole other world out there. So that's what lead me back to starting to read marvel, and even try out stuff from Image (Invincible) and even loads of dark horse (buffy, hellboy) and other must reads (loved watchmen)... And well, now I'm part of the Ifanbase too, and as long as I keep enjoying comics (don't see that changing) then I'm going to keep staying.
