November 23, 2011 11:16 am interesting discussion, my one peeve has been getting me cringing for a while now, youve been throwing around the term photo-realistic like it was was a bad word, while none of you are using it correctly. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photo-realistic the only guy in comics who really does this kind of work is alax ross. I think youre getting confused with the realistic approach some of the modern artists have taken with their cartooning. this is done by adding more details that exist in the real world as opposed to the cartoony-ness of jack Kirby and the likes. other than that, great show guys , keep it up with the great original shows you have been creating lately.

August 31, 2011 2:58 pm I know which is why this issue came as a pretty big letdown for me. i didn't get the feeling i was walking in on something new and epic.. one thing he did mention in the interview was how he was using the characters personality that was already existing in the old DC universe, its like geoff clicked on the big red restart butten that reshuffles the same ol' cards. shouldn't he be trying to play around with new character schemes? revisit the origins but twist some shit around? for me, the new DCU is the opportunity to take these old guys, and not just dust them off and give them a new coat of paint, but to truly reinvent a whole new world.. but ye know, i could be asking too much i guess...

August 31, 2011 2:08 pm this reboot should feel more expressive, experimental. it isn't just the chance to retell the old stories with a modern hitch, but to actually build an icon from scratch.. instead, i feel like this is gonna be the exact same set-up we have today in 12 months time.. unless I start seeing something i've never seen before this will be short lived on my pullist
