A facetious review of Wolverine: The Best There Is #2 (the title is a pun, you see). Oh look, Wolverine’s been angry, as usual – what an original character move. Some brutal violence follows – it’s almost like this should be a MAX title, but Marvel decided at the last minute that if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Some guy with no eyes turns up and does some things, including put some eyes in his head and do some stuff that is neither funny nor clever nor really evil. Wolverine does some even more gruesome things that really illustrate that this is a poor man’s MAX title. Charlie Huston laughs at you for buying the book, Juan Jose Ryp cries at having to read the script and turn it into something half coherent. Basically, it wasn’t very good. But you knew that, right?
